Athletics broadcaster Jenny Cavnar made history this season as the first woman to be the primary play-by-play announcer for an MLB team, and now permanent reminders of that milestone will be displayed in the National Baseball Hall of Fame.

The Hall announced Friday that Cavnar's credential, headset and talk box from Opening Day are being donated to the museum's permanent collection.

Cavnar, a five-time Emmy winner and former Colorado Sportscaster of the Year, was named the A's primary play-by-play voice in February. She previously served as the backup play-by-play announcer for the Rockies, as well as a reporter and host on the team's broadcasts for 12 seasons.

In April 2018, Cavnar became the first woman in 25 years to call play-by-play for an MLB game when she was on the mic for a Rockies-Padres game.

Now, her historic career journey will be preserved in Cooperstown.
