With a single to right field against the Yankees, Semien recorded his 1,000th career hit
July 13, 2021: First All-Star Game
After a hot start with the Blue Jays, Semien was named to his first All-Star team. He went on to slash .265/.334/.538 on the season, while finishing third in AL MVP voting, behind only Shohei Ohtani and teammate Vladimir Guerrero Jr.
Dec. 1, 2021: Signs with Rangers
Teaming up with fellow middle infielder Corey Seager, Semien signed a seven-year, $175 million deal to join Texas ahead of the 2022 season
