Burnes opened ‘19 as a starter and K’d 12 Cardinals in his season debut. He also surrendered 3 of the 11 April HRs he allowed, leading to the 1st of several demotions in a tough year

Surrounded by loved ones, Burnes became the 3rd Brewers pitcher to win the Cy Young. He ended ‘21 with an MLB-best ERA (2.43), fWAR (7.5) and K rate (35.6%)
