June 7, 2010:

The White Sox were all-in on the lanky lefty from Florida Gulf Coast University, taking him 13th overall in the Draft

Aug. 6, 2010:

Sale debuted one day short of the two-month anniversary of when he was drafted. He was eased in as a reliever in his first two seasons and dominated in the role

April 9, 2012:

The White Sox took the training wheels off their eventual ace by putting him in the rotation to start the season. In his first MLB start, Sale downed Cleveland with 6 2/3 strong innings (one run) and earned the win

May 12, 2013

Pitching on Sunday Night Baseball vs. the Angels, Sale had a perfect game until Mike Trout spoiled the fun with a one-out single in the top of the seventh. That was the only hit Sale allowed in an epic shutout performance

Aug. 16, 2015

For Chicagoans, one of the most memorable performances of Sale’s career came against the cross-town Cubs, when he punched out 15 over seven innings and allowed just one hit, a single to Dexter Fowler

Oct. 3, 2015:

Sale earned a permanent place in White Sox lore when he notched his 270th strikeout of the season, surpassing Hall of Famer Ed Walsh for the club record that had stood since 1908. Sale finished the season with a club record 274 K's

Dec. 6, 2016:

The lefty ace changed Sox, getting traded to Boston in a Winter Meetings blockbuster that sent top prospects Yoán Moncada and Michael Kopech to Chicago

Sale earns his first win for Boston, striking out 12 over 7 frames in a dazzling performance at Fenway vs. the Rays

Sept. 20, 2017:

Boston’s ace reached the vaunted 300-K club for the first time when he froze Ryan Flaherty on a wipeout slider at Camden Yards. Sale finished the season with 308 K’s, second only to Hall of Famer Pedro Martinez (313) in Red Sox history

Oct. 5, 2018:

Sale got Boston’s October run off to an auspicious start when he earned his first career postseason win in Game 1 of the ALDS against the rival Yanks at Fenway, allowing two runs over 5 2/3 innings

With the Red Sox needing just three more outs to win the World Series, manager Alex Cora turned to Sale. The lefty was untouchable, striking out all three batters he faced on 15 pitches
