Senior Vice President of Finance
Ryan Oremus joined the Red Sox in August of 2004 and is currently the Senior Vice President of Finance. He oversees the finance department, including accounting, financial reporting, treasury services, taxation, and risk management for the club, real estate entities, and the Foundation. He also serves as the organization's representative for all MLB financial reporting and insurance requirements. During his tenure, Ryan has been instrumental in reorganizing operations to improve reliability and efficiency of financial controls.
Prior to joining the Red Sox, Ryan held numerous accounting positions with a national bank, multinational manufacturer, and public accounting firm where he earned his CPA license.
A native of Wisconsin, Ryan graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and Finance. In 2006, Ryan received his MBA from Boston College where he won the annual business plan competition and led the sports management club. He regularly speaks with college and high school students who are interested in finance, and was featured in the "Careers in Accounting" campaign for the Massachusetts Society of CPAs.
Ryan and his wife Courtney live in Medfield, MA with their two children, Harrison and Mackenzie.
