CEREMONIAL FIRST PITCH: Sara Hinesley

The Orioles will welcome 10-year-old SARA HINESLEY from Frederick, Md., to throw out the ceremonial first pitch before Friday night’s game against the Indians. Hinesley, who was born without hands, recently won the Zaner-Bloser National Handwriting Contest, which recognized her excellence in writing cursive. The award is given to student who have a cognitive delay or an intellectual, physical, or developmental disability.

ORIOLES FLOPPY HAT GIVEAWAY

The first 20,000 fans 21 and over in attendance on Friday will receive an Orioles Floppy Hat presented by Miller Lite.

FRIDAY FIREWORKS & MUSIC

The Friday Fireworks & Women of Country Music series takes place every Friday from June through August, headlining emerging female artists in partnership with Change the Conversation, a nonprofit organization advocating for women’s equality in the music industry. The Orioles invite fans to enjoy performances from emerging artists after the game followed by a spectacular fireworks display, presented by Maryland Credit Unions.

Tonight, the Orioles are pleased to feature TIERA from USA Network’s music competition show, Real Country. The Alabama-native has performed at the annual Stagecoach Music Festival in California, and iconic Nashville venues such as The Bluebird Café and the Listening Room Café with the Song Suffragettes, a weekly singer/songwriter showcase comprised of all females.

Friday Fireworks & Women of Country Music is part of the Orioles’ yearlong celebration of women’s equality and girls’ empowerment. Each date, the artists will also sign autographs and meet fans at the National Woman’s Party’s Standing Together exhibit on the lower concourse behind home plate during the fourth inning. Select artist and Orioles items will be auctioned off to raise proceeds to benefit the National Women’s Party and Change the Conversation, as well as other groups helping to advance women’s and girls’ empowerment causes.

BIRDLAND COMMUNITY HERO: Vedika Krishna

The Orioles will recognize VEDIKA KRISHNA as Friday’s Birdland Community Hero. Since 2016, Vedika has participated in Junior Achievement’s Rising Women, an entrepreneurship program that gives young women in Howard County the opportunity to start and run a business by teaching how to conceptualize, market, and build a company. The Orioles Charitable Foundation will make a $2,500 donation to the Junior Achievement of Central Maryland in support of the Birdland Community Heroes program.

FIRKIN FRIDAYS AT FLYING DOG TAP HOUSE

Every Friday throughout the season, the Flying Dog Tap House, located on the first base side of the lower concourse, will host Firkin Fridays and tap a new cask for a different beer each week. This Friday, the Snake Dog IPA with Hallertau Blanc Hops will be available. A complete schedule of Firkin Friday beers is available at Orioles.com/food.

SATURDAY ROOF DECK SESSION: Kevin MaC

Saturday’s session will feature a pregame performance by country singer/songwriter KEVIN MAC on the Budweiser Roof Deck in center field. In 2018, the Virginia-native opened for LoCash at Ed Smith Smith, the Orioles’ Spring Training home, and has shared the floodlights with some of today’s biggest country stars like Kenny Chesney, Trace Adkins and The Band Perry. The unique performance will be broadcast throughout the ballpark, and fans will also be able to access the Budweiser Roof Deck with any game ticket on a first-come, first-served basis. Special $3 happy hour pricing on Bud and Bud Light will be available exclusively on the Budweiser Roof Deck from the time gates open until the scheduled first pitch.

“WHEN THE CROWD DIDN’T ROAR” BOOK SIGNING

Prior to Saturday’s game, author KEVIN COWHERD will be on hand to sign copies of his book, “When the Crowd Didn’t Roar,” outside of the Orioles Team Store on Eutaw Street from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. The book, which covers the 2015 unrest in Baltimore which led to the only game in MLB history played in front of no fans, will also be available for purchase at the Team Store.

MARYLAND FLAG UNIFORMS

All Orioles players, coaches, and uniformed personnel will wear special Orioles Maryland flag jerseys and caps for Saturday afternoon’s game against the Indians, which will be autographed, authenticated, and auctioned online at Orioles.com/auctions to benefit the Orioles Charitable Foundation. Additionally, the first 30,000 fans, ages 15 and over, will receive an Orioles Maryland Flag replica jersey, presented by Morgan State University.

BIRDLAND COMMUNITY HERO: Kate Jakuta

KATE JAKUTA, Family Stability Case Manager, Southeast Community Development Corporation (CDC), will be honored as Saturday’s Birdland Community Hero. Since joining the Southeast CDC in 2016, Kate has worked tirelessly with families in the Highlandtown neighborhood to help them avoid homelessness by providing financial and emotional support, and has helped hundreds of individuals in their time of need. When she is not working at the CDC, Kate volunteers with the Latino Racial Justice Circle, the Maryland Pro Bono Resource Center, and the Latino Providers Network (LPN). She was named the recipient of the 2018 Community Service Award by the LPN for her “outstanding service with the Southeast CDC and the Latino Racial Justice Circle." The Orioles Charitable Foundation will make a $2,500 donation to the Southeast Community Development Corporation in support of the Birdland Community Heroes Program.

CEREMONIAL FIRST PITCH: Mike Mussina

The Orioles will welcome back MIKE MUSSINA for a ceremonial first pitch prior to Sunday’s game in celebration of his upcoming induction into the National Baseball Hall of Fame later this summer. Mussina will be available to speak with the media in the O’s Xtra set during the first inning.

Mussina will be formally inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame during the ceremonies in Cooperstown, N.Y. on Sunday, July 21, at 1:30 p.m., along with two other former Orioles, OF HAROLD BAINES and RHP LEE SMITH in addition to RHP ROY HALLADAY, DH EDGAR MARTINEZ, and RHP MARIANO RIVERA.

ORIOLE ADVOCATES’ CARDBOARD TO LEATHER™ EQUIPMENT COLLECTION

On Sunday, the Oriole Advocates will conduct their annual Cardboard to Leather™ collection. Fans are encouraged to bring new or gently-used baseball equipment to the game, and financial donations are also accepted. Equipment and proceeds from the collection will go to youth in developing countries. Since the program’s inception in 1992, the Oriole Advocates have distributed equipment to youth baseball players around the world in places such as Afghanistan, Aruba, Belize, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Mexico, Nicaragua, Serbia, Venezuela, and throughout the United States. During Sunday’s game, the Oriole Advocates will be conducting a silent auction of sports memorabilia on the lower concourse near Gate E to benefit the collection. From 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., fans will have the chance to bid on baseballs, photos, bats, and jerseys autographed by current Orioles.

BIRDLAND COMMUNITY HERO: David Preziuso

The Orioles will recognize DAVID PREZIUSO of the Oriole Advocates Charitable Foundation as Sunday’s Birdland Community Hero. For the last three years, David has facilitated used baseball equipment drives for the Oriole Advocates Cardboard to Leather™ collection. He has publicized and organized collection drives at his school, Caravel Academy in Bear, Del., which have added over 1,000 items annually to the Cardboard to Leather™ campaign. The Orioles Charitable Foundation will make a $2,500 donation to the Oriole Advocates Charitable Foundation in support of the Birdland Community Heroes program.

MILITARY APPRECIATION PROGRAM

Military members from the Carroll County Marine Corps League Detachment will enjoy the game in a suite, experience a meet-and-greet with players, and receive a T-Shirt and cap as part of the Orioles’ Military Appreciation Sunday Suite Program presented by GEICO.

KIDS RUN THE BASES

Sundays are family days at the ballpark, when all fans ages 4-14 will be able to participate in a postgame Kids Run the Bases, presented by Weis Markets.
