ORIOLES WEAR ORANGE FOR WORK ZONE SAFETY AWARENESS
In support of Work Zone Safety Awareness, the Orioles will wear orange jerseys tonight instead of the traditional black Friday jersey. The Orioles and the Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration have partnered to encourage Maryland drivers to recognize work zones and slow down and stay alert when driving through them. BRYAN PALMER, a Facility Maintenance Technician, will throw out the ceremonial first pitch before the game. Palmer was named the Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration's 2017 Best Heavy Duty Equipment Driver.  
 
BIRDLAND COMMUNITY HERO: Laurie Moser  
LAURIE MOSER will be recognized as Friday's Birdland Community Hero for her efforts to strengthen work zone safety. Moser became a work zone safety advocate following the loss of her husband to a work zone crash in June 2007. Moser works tirelessly with the legislature in Annapolis to toughen laws, and to spread the word about work zone safety to help keep workers and drivers safe. The Orioles will make a $2,500 donation to the American Traffic Safety Services Foundation's National Work Zone Memorial Fund. 
 
FRIDAY FIREWORKS & MUSIC AT AMERICA'S BALLPARK  
The Orioles will host "Friday Fireworks & Music at America's Ballpark," presented by Maryland Credit Unions, featuring a postgame, on-field musical performance from independent country recording artist, RENEE BLAIR. Originally from St. Louis, Blair has spent the past few years writing in Nashville. In 2016, she signed a publishing and production deal with Nashville-based company SMACKsongs. Over the last year, Blair has been writing and recording for her forthcoming EP, executive-produced by GRAMMY Award winning producer/songwriter SHANE McANALLY. Blair's first digital single, "Gotta Quit Drinkin," was released today and is available everywhere digitally. She will also perform the national anthem prior to the game, and will be available for interviews upon request. MYCHAL GIVENS SIGNING AT ANNAPOLIS MALL
Orioles pitcher MYCHAL GIVENS will make an appearance at the Westfield Annapolis Mall (2002 Annapolis Mall Rd.) from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Givens will sign autographs and greet fans. The event is free of charge and open to the public.  
 
SILENT AUCTION BENEFITTING THE USO OF METROPOLITAN WASHINGTON-BALTIMORE
The Orioles Wives will host a silent auction tonight on the main concourse by Gate E, featuring players' "favorite things baskets" and Orioles autographed memorabilia. The auction will run from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. All proceeds from the auction will benefit the USO of Metropolitan Washington-Baltimore.  
 
PREGAME CEREMONY: Downtown Partnership
On Friday, the Orioles will honor the dedicated men and women of The Downtown Partnership's operations teams. Each year, members of these teams make significant contributions to the Baltimore community. Downtown Baltimore Guides assist more than 300,000 people, Clean Sweep Ambassadors remove more than 1,100 tons of trash from Downtown streets and alleys, and Park Stewards provide and maintain Downtown green space.  
 
SATURDAY, JULY 14 
 
CASEY CARES FOUNDATION 5K RUN/WALK AT ORIOLE PARK
For the third consecutive year, Orioles first baseman CHRIS DAVIS and his wife, JILL, will serve as race ambassadors for the ninth annual Casey Cares 5K Run/Walk at Oriole Park on Saturday. The 3.1 mile run/one mile walk starts at 8:00 a.m. beginning at Oriole Park and ending on the field. Participants will enjoy a pre-race warm-up with the Oriole Bird, music, and other entertainment, as well as post-race refreshments. Top race winners will be announced in a pregame ceremony prior to that night's game against the Rangers. Media are invited to attend and should RSVP to Kailey Adams ([email protected]). 
CALEB JOSEPH AT POINT BREEZE CREDIT UNION
On Saturday, Orioles catcher CALEB JOSEPH will be signing autographs at the Point Breeze Credit Union in Hunt Valley (11104 McCormick Rd.) from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. 
 
'CELEBRATE MARYLAND DAY'  
All Orioles players, coaches, and uniformed personnel will wear special Orioles Maryland flag script jerseys and Maryland flag themed caps, which will be autographed, authenticated, and auctioned online at www.orioles.com/auctions to benefit the Orioles Charitable Foundation. Additionally, the first 35,000 fans, ages 15 and over, will receive an Orioles Maryland Flag script replica jersey, presented by Morgan State University.  
 
BIRDLAND COMMUNITY HERO: Casey Baynes
Founder and Executive Director of the Casey Cares Foundation, CASEY BAYNES, will be honored as Saturday's Birdland Community Hero. In 2000, Baynes founded Casey Cares, a nonprrofit dedicated to creating little moments and lasting memories to families with critically-ill children. In 2018 alone, Casey Cares will provide more than 17,000 program activities to local families. The Orioles will make a $2,500 donation to Casey Cares. 
 
SUNDAY, JULY 15 
 
ORIOLE ADVOCATES' CARDBOARD TO LEATHER™ EQUIPMENT COLLECTION
On Sunday, the Oriole Advocates will conduct their annual Cardboard to Leather™ collection. Fans are encouraged to bring new or gently-used baseball equipment to the game, and financial donations are also accepted. Equipment and proceeds from the collection will go to underprivileged youth in developing countries. Since the program's inception in 1992, the Oriole Advocates have distributed equipment to youth baseball players around the world in places such as Afghanistan, Aruba, Belize, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Mexico, Nicaragua, Serbia, Venezuela, and throughout the United States. Additionally, the Baseball Tomorrow Fund will award a grant of $5,000 to the Oriole Advocates Charitable Foundation for the purchase of new equipment. During Sunday's game, the Oriole Advocates will be conducting a silent auction of sports memorabilia on the lower concourse near Gate E to benefit the collection. From 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., fans will have the chance to bid on baseballs, photos, bats, and jerseys autographed by current Orioles. 
 
NATIONAL ANTHEM: Sarah Hardwig
SARAH HARDWIG, a 15-year-old who is blind, will perform the national anthem prior to Sunday's game, and God Bless America during the seventh-inning stretch. Hardwig, a Florida-native, sang with LOCASH at the end-of-season charitable concert at Ed Smith Stadium in March.  
 
BIRDLAND COMMUNITY HERO: Bonnie Carroll
The Orioles will recognize BONNIE CARROLL, President and Founder of Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS), as Sunday's Birdland Community Hero. Carroll is a 2015 recipient of the Presidential Medal of Freedom, a military veteran, and a former White House staffer. She founded TAPS following the death of her husband, Brigadier General TOM CARROLL, in an Army C-12 plane crash in November of 1992. TAPS, the leading national Military Service Organization, provides compassionate care, casework assistance, and 24/7/365 emotional support for anyone impacted by the death of a military loved one. The Orioles will make a $2,500 donation to TAPS. 
 
MILITARY APPRECIATION PROGRAM
Military members from TAPS will enjoy the game in a suite, experience a meet-and-greet with DYLAN BUNDY and ALEX COBB, and receive a t-shirt and cap as part of the Orioles' Military Appreciation Sunday Suite Program, presented by T. Rowe Price. 
 
KIDS RUN THE BASES EVERY SUNDAY Sundays are family days at the ballpark, when all fans ages 4-14 will be able to participate in a postgame Kids Run the Bases Every Sunday, presented by Weis Markets.
