The Kansas City Royals will host the Minnesota Twins (September 7-10) and Chicago White Sox (September 11-13). Royals Charities will support the American Red Cross hurricane relief efforts by accepting cash donations throughout the homestand and dedicate proceeds from Saturday's 50/50 Raffle to benefit disaster relief.

In addition, the Royals will host many local groups through different events, including a Special Olympics Clinic (September 8), MLBPAA Clinic (September 9) and Armed Forces Day (September 11). Please note, first pitch is now scheduled for 12:15 p.m. on Tuesday, September 12.
Thursday, September 7 - Minnesota Twins vs. Royals, 7:15 p.m.
· American Red Cross Donations - Prior to the game, volunteers from the American Red Cross will be on-hand at all gates to accept cash donations for hurricane relief efforts. Royals Charities made an initial $10,000 donation. Fans can also support Major League Baseball's relief efforts by donating online at YouCaring.com/MLBsupports.
· Dream Factory - Throughout the season, the Royals grant the wishes of Dream Factory children. These youngsters, who face life-altering challenges, will meet Royals players, watch batting practice from the dugout and enjoy the game and refreshments. Their Royals experience appears on the KMBC-TV (Channel 9) 10 p.m. newscast.
· Roberto Clemente Award Royals Nominee Honored - The Roberto Clemente Award is the annual recognition of an MLB player who best represents the game through extraordinary character, community involvement, philanthropy and positive contributions, both on and off the field. All 30 Clubs nominate a player for the award. Drew Butera will be honored as the Royals nominee during a pregame ceremony prior to Thursday's game.
· "C" You at The K - Royals General Manager Dayton Moore, together with the "C" You in the Major Leagues Foundation (CYITML) and the Royals, will host area groups to join him at select games this season. The special guests from Freedom Hoops will watch batting practice, enjoy dinner with Moore and watch the Royals game. The CYITML Foundation started in January 2014 to support youth baseball, education, faith-based organizations and events and families in crisis throughout the greater Kansas City area and beyond.
Friday, September 8 - Minnesota Twins vs. Royals, 7:15 p.m.
· Special Olympics Clinic presented by Price Chopper - The Royals will join Price Chopper to host 50 athletes from Special Olympics of Greater Kansas City to play in a softball game from noon to 1 p.m. on the field at Kauffman Stadium.
· 50/50 Raffle presented by Edelman & Thompson - Proceeds from the Royals Charities fundraiser during the game will benefit the American Heart Association "Go Red for Women" campaign. The organization will also distribute information outside the Royals Charities headquarters. For more information, please visit www.royals.com/5050.
· Green Team - During select games throughout the season, local organizations and volunteers who sign up to be a part of the Royals Green Team, sponsored by Republic Services, will help collect aluminum and recyclable plastics at the stadium gates as well as throughout multiple innings of the game.
· American Red Cross Donations - Throughout the homestand, the Royals Charities headquarters will accept cash donations for the American Red Cross for hurricane relief efforts.
· Royals Charities Check Presentation - Royals Charities will present a check to the American Heart Association "Go Red for Women" campaign in conjunction with Girls Night Out.
Saturday, September 9 - Minnesota Twins vs. Royals, 6:15 p.m.
· MLBPAA Clinic presented in Kansas City by Price Chopper - The Major League Baseball Players Alumni Association Legends for Youth clinic, along with Price Chopper, will host a free clinic for kids ages 6-16. The clinic will be held from 9 a.m. to noon at the Kansas City MLB Urban Youth Academy, located at 1600 John "Buck" O'Neil Way. It will be led by former MLB players, including Tom Burgmeier, Ed Hearn, Mike Jurewicz, Dennis Leonard, John Mayberry Sr., Dave Patterson and Stan Wall. MLBPAA's Legends for Youth clinics impact more than 16,000 children each year, allowing them the unique opportunity to interact with and learn from players who have left a lasting impact on the game of baseball. The MLBPAA has reached children across America and internationally in Australia, Canada, China, Curaçao, the Dominican Republic, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Nicaragua, the United Kingdom and Venezuela through the Legends for Youth Clinic Series. · Kennedys Host Charity Group - Pitcher Ian Kennedy and his wife, Allison, host a different community group in a fully-catered Dugout Suite during each Saturday home game. This game, the Kennedys will host the Whiteman Air Force Base. Their guests will watch batting practice from the suite and visit with Kennedy prior to the game. The Kennedys also will give each guest a special Royals gift.

The deployed soldiers will be featured watching the game oversees, while family members are enjoying the game at Kauffman Stadium. Additional members of the military will also be honored during a special pregame ceremony and throughout the game during in-game features.
