It’s a jam-packed weekend at Citizens Bank Park as the Phillies take on the Washington Nationals for a four-game series, August 15 – 18. Highlights include the return of Phillies legends for festivities planned during Toyota Phillies Alumni Weekend, celebrating the 20th anniversary of the ballpark.

  1. On Thursday, August 15, the Phillies will host PAL Night before the 6:40 p.m. game. Plus, fans 21 and over will receive a Miller Lite Floppy Hat.
    • There will also be an on-field check presentation to benefit the Police Athletic League and De’Naiza Watson from the 24th PAL Center will make a ceremonial first pitch.
    • Other on-field happenings include the recognition of Leo Martinez, RBI Coach of the Year sponsored by Nike & Richman’s, and Brianna Roccio, Jr. RBI Coach of the Year sponsored by Citizens. Also, Molson Coors will present a check of $10,000 to be donated to Phillies Charities, Inc.
  2. Toyota Phillies Alumni Weekend festivities officially begin on Friday, August 16, before the 6:40 p.m. game, with a special on-field presentation to 2008 World Series champion Carlos Ruiz.
    • Join the Phillies as they tip their caps to one of the greatest catchers in club history, Carlos Ruiz. Taking part in the festivities will be Managing Partner and CEO John Middleton, who will make a special presentation to Chooch in honor of his stellar career. Ruiz will also throw a ceremonial first pitch. More >>
    • Also throwing a ceremonial first pitch on behalf of Toyota: Brian Freedman, director of the Swank Autism Center.
    • Rock and Roll Hall of Famer John Oates will sing the national anthem.
    • The Phillies will wear their Nike MLB City Connect uniforms for Lights Up // Friday Night at the Bank.
    • Fans, age 21 & over: stop by the Miller Lite Friday Happy Hour at Miller Lite Liberty Landing, featuring specials until the first pitch.
  3. Get to the ballpark early on Saturday, August 17, for the Toyota Phillies Wall of Fame Induction Ceremony honoring David Montgomery, taking place before the 6:05 p.m. game.
    • Phillies Wall of Famers return to celebrate the legacy of David Montgomery, former team president and chief executive officer, who will be bestowed with the club’s highest honor for executives as he is posthumously inducted into the Toyota Phillies Wall of Fame. More >>
    • Among those taking part will be legends Jim Thome and Larry Bowa, as well as special guests from Montgomery’s storied career. Plus, Montgomery’s plaque will be unveiled on the Toyota Phillies Wall of Fame, a tradition that began in 1978 at Veterans Stadium.
    • The national anthem will be sung by Lila Thome, the daughter of Jim Thome.
    • Throwing a ceremonial first pitch on behalf of Toyota will be athlete Mike Braxton from the Challenged Athletes Foundation.
    • Join the pregame fun at the Budweiser Block Party at the Budweiser Batter’s Eye Bar behind Section 148.
    • Stop by the First Base Plaza to check out memorabilia from the Phillies Charities, Inc. Online Auction.
    • On behalf of Toyota, Gio Dispersia from the Challenged Athletes Foundation will have the honor of changing third base at the end of the 6th
  4. The homestand concludes on Sunday, August 18, at 1:35 p.m. during Toyota Phillies Alumni Day, as the team celebrates the 20th anniversary of Citizens Bank Park.
    • Arrive at the ballpark early for this must-see on-field salute, as legends from some of the most memorable moments and various eras at Citizens Bank Park take the field to be recognized pregame.
    • Participants include Bobby Abreu, Joe Blanton, Ryan Howard, Brad Lidge, Mike Lieberthal, Ryan Madson, Charlie Manuel, Jamie Moyer, Aaron Rowand, Jimmy Rollins, Carlos Ruiz and Jim Thome. Toyota Phillies Wall of Famers and local alumni will also join the festivities. More >>
  5. For this series only, Colbie’s Southern Kissed Chicken will be offering the Southern Belle Sandwich at Coca-Cola Corner (left field).
  6. In honor of Alumni Weekend, fans are invited to bid on team-issued and game-used autographed memorabilia signed by former and current players as part of the Phillies Charities, Inc. Online Auction on phillies.com/auctions until September 1 at 6:00 p.m.
    • Items are signed by Phillies legends including Larry Bowa, Steve Carlton, Ryan Howard, John Kruk, Cliff Lee, Brad Lidge, Mickey Morandini, Carlos Ruiz, Chase Utley, Shane Victorino and more; current players include Alec Bohm, Nick Castellanos, Bryce Harper, Brandon Marsh, Aaron Nola, Kyle Schwarber, Trea Turner and Zack Wheeler, among others.
  7. Custom merchandise celebrating the 20th anniversary at Citizens Bank Park, including polos, t-shirts and novelty items, will also be available throughout the weekend at the New Era Phillies Team Store.
  • Gate Openings: 5:10 p.m. on Thursday and Friday; 4:35 p.m. on Saturday and 12:05 p.m. on Sunday (Left Field Gate at 11:35 a.m.).
  • NEW Phillies Live Audio: Fans in attendance at Citizens Bank Park can enjoy the Phillies 94 WIP radio broadcast in real time. Using the MLB Ballpark app, navigate to the “Phillies Live Audio” tile and follow the instructions.
  • Go-Ahead Entry: Enroll on the MLB Ballpark app for a free-flow ballpark entry experience that allows ticket holders the ability to enter the ballpark at full walking speed without stopping. Go-Ahead Entry lanes are located at the First Base, Third Base and Left Field Gates.

  • Broadcast: The games on Thursday, Saturday and Sunday will be broadcast on NBCSP; Friday’s game will be broadcast on NBC10, as well as nbcsportsphiladelphia.com and the NBC Sports App. Friday, Saturday and Sunday’s games will also be broadcast on 94 WIP and WTTM 1680; Thursday’s game will be on 1210 AM WPHT and WTTM 1680. Sunday’s game will be broadcast on MLB Network, out-of-market only.
  • Mobile Ordering: Includes Manco & Manco @ Foundry Pizza, Miller Lite Liberty Landing, Pass and Stow and Shake Shack. Order your favorite menu items and skip the line when ordering through the MLB Ballpark app.
  • Bag Policy: In an effort to expedite entry, guests are prohibited from bringing non-clear bags, including backpacks and drawstring bags, into the ballpark. Only clutch purses and/or fanny packs (no larger than 5" x 7"), clear bags (no larger than 12" x 6" x 12"), medical bags and diaper bags will be permitted into Citizens Bank Park. All bags will be subject to inspection upon entry in accordance with Major League Baseball security regulations.
  • Uber RideShare Lot: Lot T is designated for Uber RideShare for all Citizens Bank Park and Wells Fargo Center events. Fans should exit the Third Base Gate and walk along Pattison Avenue toward Broad Street to enter the lot and request a vehicle, which will meet each rider in the designated area.
