June 25th, 2024

As the weather heats up and schools ring the final bell, summer is officially here! The Canada Day long weekend is on deck, bringing with it an eight-game homestand and marking the perfect time to plan a ballpark outing.

The Toronto Blue Jays return home on Thursday, June 27 to lead off the final homestand before the All-Star Break, with match-ups vs. the New York Yankees (June 27 to 30) and Houston Astros (July 1 to 4).

Rogers Centre is the place to be on the long weekend, with six of eight games featuring a giveaway or theme day. Below is a look at the fun taking place at the ballpark from Thursday, June 27 to Thursday, July 4:

  • Cha-cha to Rogers Centre for the first-ever Salsa Night on Thursday, June 27 (7:07 p.m.). There will be action all around the ballpark, from Salsa dance lessons and performers to photo opportunities and crafts – all while enjoying the Salsa Sunset Punch specialty cocktail. Additionally, section 130 will be transformed into a Salsa memorabilia zone showcasing Colombian, Bolivian, and Mexican culture provided by TD Salsa on St. Clair. The first 15,000 fans will receive a collectible Blue Jays Chip & Dip Bowl giveaway (image here).
  • The team rocks its City Connect uniforms during two games this homestand, as NIGHT MODE returns on Friday, June 28 and Wednesday, July 3 (both 7:07 p.m.).
  • The Yankees series wraps on Sunday, June 30 (1:37 p.m.) with the second outdoor Jr. Jays Sunday of the season. It’s a perfect long weekend outing with outdoor programming beginning at 10:30 a.m. through first pitch, featuring inflatables, activities, and performances outside gates 5 to 11 along Bremner Blvd. Indoor programming starts at 11:30 a.m. In addition, kids 14 and under can run the bases postgame, and full Jr. Jays event details can be found at com/jrjays.
  • Celebrate Canada Day with Canada’s team on Monday, July 1 (3:07 p.m.). An annual favourite, this year's festivities honour the centennial of the Royal Canadian Air Force with 225 members of the Air Force presenting the iconic Canadian flag on the field. The first 15,000 fans will receive a Blue Jays Canadian Tuxedo Hat giveaway (image here), and all can enjoy pre and in-game performances from the Air Force band, activities, Canadian-inspired food, and the Eh-Lixer specialty cocktail all around the ballpark. Fans are encouraged to arrive early with tickets still available at com/tickets.
  • Tuesday, July 2 (7:07 p.m.) is the seventh Loonie Dogs Night presented by Schneiders. Fans broke the season’s single-game record last Loonie Dogs Night with a record 64,200 dogs consumed. Come hungry and see if fans can eat 70,000.
  • Paying homage to Gausman’s signature post-inning ritual bubble gum toss, Wednesday, July 3 (7:07 p.m.) features a unique Kevin Gausman Bubble Gum Bobblehead giveaway (image here) for the first 15,000 fans.
  • The homestand wraps with the first weekday afternoon game of the summer on Thursday, July 4 (1:07 p.m.). Marking this season’s Camp Day, spend the afternoon at Rogers Centre, show camp spirit, and celebrate the Blue Jays with a banner contest.
