Rangers Agree to Terms With Mitch Moreland on 2016 Contract

The Texas Rangers announced today that the club has agreed to terms with first baseman Mitch Moreland on a one-year contract for the 2016 season. No further terms were disclosed.
Moreland had been eligible for salary arbitration. With this agreement, the Rangers have signed all of their arbitration-eligible players for 2016.
Moreland batted .278 with 23 homers, tying for the team high, and a career best 85 RBI in 132 games for Texas in 2015. He has a career major league average of .258 with 88 homers and 294 RBI in 626 games with Texas from 2010-15.
Texas now has 20 of the 40 players on its major league roster under contract for 2016.
