MILWAUKEE – The Milwaukee Brewers have two players advancing to the finals of the 2024 MLB All-Star Ballot presented by BuildSubmarines.com as catcher William Contreras and outfielder Christian Yelich are moving on to the second phase of voting.

Vote totals will reset for the finals, which begin Sunday, June 30 at 11 a.m. CT and run through Wednesday, July 3 at 11 a.m. CT. Fans can vote once per day at MLB.com/vote, brewers.com/Allstar or on the MLB app. All-Star starters will be announced on July 3 at 6 p.m. CT on ESPN.

Contreras received the most votes (2,314,000) among National League catchers in the first phase and will square off against J.T. Realmuto of the Phillies (1,837,442) in the finals.

Contreras is aiming to join Ted Simmons (1983) as the only players in franchise history to be voted as an All-Star starter at catcher. Jonathan Lucroy started the 2014 All-Star Game at catcher as an injury replacement. He made his lone All-Star appearance in 2022 when he started at designated hitter for the National League in place of the injured Bryce Harper.

Yelich advanced to the finals by finishing second among National League outfielders in the first phase with 2,307,430 votes. He will compete with Jurickson Profar (1st, 2,559,897) and Fernando Tatis Jr. (4th, 2,054,316) of the Padres, Teoscar Hernández of the Dodgers (3rd, 2,134,971) and Brandon Marsh (5th, 1,677,297) and Nick Castellanos (6th, 1,487,234) of the Phillies for the three starting National League outfield spots.

A two-time All-Star, Yelich is the last Brewers player to be elected to start the Midsummer Classic (2019). He is trying to join Ryan Braun (5), Robin Yount (2), Paul Molitor (2) and Prince Fielder (2) as the only players in franchise history to start multiple All-Star Games.

The Brewers had four other players finish in the top five at their positions in third baseman Joey Ortiz (3rd), designated hitter Rhys Hoskins (4th), shortstop Willy Adames (4th) and second baseman Brice Turang (5th).
