CHICAGO – Vanilla Ice, a GRAMMY® Award-nominated rapper who exploded on the rap/pop music scene in 1990 with his No. 1 hit single “Ice Ice Baby,” is scheduled to join iconic 90s hip-hop artists Rob Base and Tone Loc for a Postgame Concert, with presenting sponsor Whittingham Meats, at Guaranteed Rate Field following the Chicago White Sox game vs. Oakland on Friday, August 25 at 6:10 p.m. CT

On-field Postgame Concert pass packages are available now at whitesox.com/concert.

A 90s American rap superstar, Vanilla Ice is a two-time American Music Award winner whose hit, “Ice Ice Baby,” was the first rap single to reach No. 1 on the Billboard Singles Chart. In addition to recording the chart-topping album To The Extreme, which became the fastest selling Hip-Hop album of all time and spent 16 weeks at No. 1, the 56-year-old rapper, actor and producer has starred in movies including Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2, Cool As Ice and The Helix Loaded, among others.

Fans excited to reminisce about the trend-setting decade and indelible 90s hip-hop culture also will enjoy performances from multiplatinum recording artists Rob Base and Tone Loc. Two of the most iconic artists of the decade, Base’s debut album It Takes Two produced three Top Ten hits, while Loc’s “Wild Thing” was the first rap/hip-hop single to go platinum, peaking at No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 in February 1989.

Space is limited, and ticket prices are subject to change. Season ticket holders will receive communication about adding field passes to tickets currently held for the Friday evening game.

A locally owned and family operated business, Whittingham Meats is the presenting sponsor of the White Sox “I Love the 90s” Tour Postgame Concert. All fans with a ticket to the game are invited to stay for the 75-minute set, weather permitting.

Vanilla Ice, Rob Base and Tone Loc join country music star Jake Owen as 2023 Postgame Concert performers added to a decorated roster of acclaimed artists who have held large-scale concerts at the ballpark since its opening in April 1991. Recent shows have included seven-time GRAMMY® Award-nominated singer, songwriter, producer and remixer Kaskade in 2022, with Chance the Rapper’s Magnificent Coloring Day Festival welcoming a record-setting crowd in September 2016.
