Umpires for 2024 Wild Card Series announced

Major League Baseball today announced the Major League Umpires who have been assigned to the 2024 Wild Card Series presented by T-Mobile 5G Home Internet. The four Wild Card Series crew chiefs will be Dan Iassogna, Alfonso Márquez, Bill Miller and Alan Porter.

Márquez will lead the umpires involving the American League West Champion ­­­­­Houston Astros, the AL’s third seed, hosting the sixth-seeded Detroit Tigers. Miller’s crew will work the Wild Card Series that features the fourth-seeded Baltimore Orioles hosting the fifth-seeded Kansas City Royals.

In the National League, Porter’s crew will be on the Wild Card Series with the third-seeded Central Division Champion Milwaukee Brewers welcoming the sixth-seeded New York Mets. Iassogna’s group will work the matchup featuring the fourth-seeded San Diego Padres hosting the fifth-seeded Atlanta Braves.
