CLEVELAND, OH – The Minnesota Twins announced today that they have placed right-handed pitcher Trevor Megill on the COVID Injured List.

Megill has gone 4-3 with a 3.89 ERA (41.2 IP, 18 ER), 14 walks and 45 strikeouts in 35 relief appearances this season.

To replace Megill on the active roster, the Twins have selected the contract of right-handed pitcher Dereck Rodríguez from Triple-A St. Paul. Rodríguez has gone 7-4 with a 5.02 ERA (89.2 IP, 50 ER), 29 walks and 88 strikeouts in 22 games (15 starts) for the Saints this season. This is his second stint with the Twins, previously making one relief appearance on April 13 vs. Los Angeles-NL.
