Twins announce 2022 Spring Training invites

FORT MYERS, FL – The Minnesota Twins announced today that 18 players on minor league contracts have been invited to major league spring training in 2022.

Joining the Twins in Fort Myers, Florida will be six pitchers: left-handers Danny Coulombe and Devin Smeltzer; right-handers Jake Faria, Ian Hamilton, Trevor Megill and Juan Minaya; two catchers: David Bañuelos and Caleb Hamilton; seven infielders: Tim Beckham, Austin Martin, Jermaine Palacios, Daniel Robertson, Aaron Sabato, Spencer Steer and Curtis Terry; and three outfielders: Jake Cave, Derek Fisher and Kyle Garlick.

Of the 18 players invited to camp, 12 have major league service time: Tim Beckham (Tampa Bay, Baltimore and Seattle), Jake Cave (Minnesota), Danny Coulombe (Los Angles-NL, Oakland and Minnesota), Jake Faria (Tampa Bay, Milwaukee and Arizona), Derek Fisher (Houston, Toronto and Milwaukee), Kyle Garlick (Los Angeles-NL, Philadelphia and Minnesota), Ian Hamilton (Chicago-AL), Trevor Megill (Chicago-NL), Juan Minaya (Chicago-AL and Minnesota), Daniel Robertson (Tampa Bay, San Francisco and Milwaukee), Devin Smeltzer (Minnesota) and Curtis Terry (Texas).
