Time is running out to vote Brewers!

William Contreras and Christian Yelich Remain in Finalist Positions; Joey Ortiz in Close Race at Third Base

MILWAUKEE – With less than 72 hours left to vote in the first phase, Milwaukee Brewers players need a final voting push from fans to reach the finals of the 2024 MLB All-Star Ballot presented by BuildSubmarines.com.

Catcher William Contreras and outfielder Christian Yelich remain in finalist positions, while third baseman Joey Ortiz is neck-and-neck with Manny Machado of the Padres to make the finals.

The top two players at each infield position and catcher, the top two designated hitters and the top six outfielders in each league will advance to the finals at the end of the first phase of voting. The top vote-getter in each league will automatically earn a starting spot.

Fans can continue to submit up to five ballots per day through 11 a.m. CT on Thursday, June 27 at MLB.com/vote, brewers.com/Allstar or on the MLB app. Finalists will be announced Thursday at 5 p.m. CT on MLB Network.

Contreras leads National League catchers with 1,473,348 votes, ahead of J.T. Realmuto (1,081,907) of the Phillies and Will Smith (955,726) of the Dodgers.

Yelich sits in second place among National League outfielders with 1,506,639 votes, behind only Jurickson Profar (1,646,276) of the Padres. He is directly ahead of Teoscar Hernández (1,413,877) of the Dodgers and Fernando Tatis Jr. (1,390,737) of the Padres. The last finalist spot among National League outfielders is held by Nick Castellanos (857,186) of the Phillies ahead of teammate Johan Rojas (677,753).

With 486,267 votes, Ortiz is just under 59,000 votes behind Machado (545,259) for the second-finalist spot at third base in the NL. Alec Bohm (1,960,231) of the Phillies leads voting at the position.

The Brewers have four other players in the top 10 at their positions, including designated hitter Rhys Hoskins (4th), shortstop Willy Adames (4th), second baseman Brice Turang (5th) and first baseman Jake Bauers (8th). Jackson Chourio moved to 20th among outfielders in the second voting update.
