HOUSTON, TX - Major League Baseball has named Jose Altuve (second base), Yordan Alvarez (designated hitter) and Framber Valdez (starting pitcher) to the All-MLB Team, with all three players earning Second-Team honors.

The selections were made by fans voting on MLB.com and a decorated panel of media members, broadcasters, former players and other officials throughout the game who each had a say in determining the first and second-team choices.

Altuve, 34, earned his third career All-MLB selection. He earned a First-Team selection in 2022 and a Second-Team selection in 2019. Altuve batted .295 (185x628) with 94 runs, 31 doubles, 20 home runs, 65 RBI, 22 stolen bases and a .790 OPS (.350 OBP/.439 SLG) in 153 games this season. He led AL second basemen in batting average, hits, doubles, on-base percentage and slugging percentage. Altuve also ranked second in home runs and RBI among AL second basemen. Altuve was also selected to his ninth career All-Star Game this season. Earlier this week, Altuve won his seventh career Silver Slugger award, which tied him with Hall of Famer Ryne Sandberg for the most career Silver Slugger Awards at second base in MLB history.

Alvarez, 27, received his fifth career All-MLB selection. He earned Second-Team honors in 2019 and from 2021-23 as well. In 147 games this season, he batted .308 (170x552) with 88 runs, 34 doubles, two triples, 35 home runs, 86 RBI, 69 walks and a .959 OPS (.392 OBP/.567 SLG). Alvarez led AL designated hitters in doubles, batting average, on-base percentage and slugging percentage, while also ranking third in home runs and fourth in RBI. He also earned his third career All-Star selection this season.

Valdez, 30, earned his second career All-MLB selection. He earned a First-Team selection in 2022. Valdez posted a 2.91 ERA (57ER/176.1IP) with 169 strikeouts, a .221 opponent batting average and a 1.11 WHIP in 28 starts for the Astros this season. Among qualified AL starters this season, he ranked first in ground ball percentage (60.8), third in ERA, fourth in opponent OPS (.610), seventh in opponent batting average and ninth in WHIP. In his final 17 starts, he posted a 2.24 ERA (27ER/108.2IP) with 118 strikeouts and a .198 opponent batting average. Additionally, his 1.65 ERA (11ER/60IP) and .161 opponent batting average after August 1 both ranked second in the AL in that span.
