CHILDHOOD CANCER AWARENESS DAY

In recognition of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, the Orioles will join Major League Baseball in honoring children and survivors affected by pediatric cancer. As part of the day, the Orioles will provide tickets to the families of three young Orioles fans who passed away from cancer in the last year.

BIRDLAND COMMUNITY HERO, presented by BGE: Clyde

The Orioles will recognize CLYDE, an 8-year-old from Severna Park, who is battling two types of cancer, as their Birdland Community Hero. While going through cancer treatments, Clyde continued playing baseball with his Little League team, spreading joy and inspiration to his teammates, who will join him at the game. In honor of Clyde’s recognition, the Orioles Charitable Foundation will make a $5,000 donation to the Casey Cares Foundation.

MARYLAND TREK TICKET DONATION

The Orioles will donate tickets to the families of children who are currently being treated for cancer and who participated in the 2024 Maryland Trek. The Maryland Trek is a seven-day, 329-mile hike and bike across Maryland raising money for JUST POWER IN KIDS, a non-profit organization that aims to empower children confronting cancer. The Orioles will also host an online auction featuring game-used memorabilia that will benefit Just Power in Kids. The auction will run from September 9-15 at Orioles.com/Auction.

FIRST PITCH: Hyundai Hope on Wheels

In honor of Childhood Cancer Awareness Day, a pediatric cancer patient from HYUNDAI HOPE ON WHEELS will throw out the ceremonial first pitch prior to the game.Hyundai’s Hope on Wheels program was founded to fight childhood cancer by funding innovative research, creating public awareness, and stimulating social media conversation. Hyundai will also make a donation to Johns Hopkins Pediatrics before the game.

BERKS LIVE HOT DOG RACE

The Camden Franks will compete against one another live at Oriole Park. Ketchup, Mustard, and Relish will race around the right field warning track and down the first base line. Fans will have the opportunity to see the Camden Franks in the Live Hot Dog Race at Oriole Park at Camden Yards during select home games this year. JAMES McCANN NICU VISIT

In partnership with MedStar Health and the Baltimore Orioles, O’s catcher JAMES McCANN will visit NICU nurses and families at MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center. McCann’s twin sons, CHRISTIAN and KANE, spent time in the NICU after being born prematurely in 2017. Ever since, McCann has made it a priority to give back to NICUs wherever he is playing.

ORIOLES STAFF 25-YEAR RING CELEBRATION

The Orioles will recognize Front Office members NEIL ALOISE, MARK SHIRES, and JEN TILLMAN and Gameday Staff ERIC FEINBLATT, JOHN MONGAN, WILLIAM NEUMAN, and MIKE KESTLE in a special pregame ceremony as they celebrate 25 years with the organization. As a thank you for their dedication, each staff member will receive a special 25-year anniversary ring.

HEROES CORNER, presented by The Good Feet Store: Adaptive Athletics Foundation of Maryland

The Orioles will donate tickets to ADAPTIVE ATHLETICS FOUNDATION OF MARYLAND as part of their Heroes Corner program, presented by The Good Feet Store. Adaptive Athletics Foundation of Maryland aims to cultivate a community where everyone, regardless of physical ability, can thrive through fitness. Founded in 2021, the Heroes Corner program serves as a way for the Orioles to say thank you and show appreciation for frontline workers and volunteers in the community.

IN THE COMMUNTIY: Prom Series

The Orioles Family Program will partner with the Orioles and Prom Series to provide homecoming dresses to local foster girls. Each foster girl will be paired with a member of the family program to find their perfect homecoming dress and will have the opportunity to have their hair and makeup professionally done. The Orioles will provide the girls and their families a complimentary catered suite and O’s goodie bags.

HEROES CORNER, presented by The Good Feet Store: Fields 4 Valor Farms

The Orioles will donate tickets to FIELDS 4 VALOR FARMS as part of their Heroes Corner program, presented by The Good Feet Store. Fields 4 Valor Farms is a veteran-run program dedicated to eliminating food insecurity in veteran families. Founded in 2021, the Heroes Corner program serves as a way for the Orioles to say thank you and show appreciation for frontline workers and volunteers in the community.

THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 5

ALL KIDS BIKE DROP

O’s pitcher COLE IRVIN and his wife, KRISTEN BEAT, will partner with the Strider Education Foundation and ALL KIDS BIKE to deliver bikes to kindergarten students at Walter P. Carter Elementary/Middle School in Baltimore. All Kids Bike aims to teach every child in America how to ride a bike in kindergarten PE class. With the help of the Orioles, this will be Irvin’s second bike donation since joining Baltimore prior to the 2023 season.

IN THE COMMUNITY: University of Maryland Children's Hospital

In recognition of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, the Oriole Bird will visit patients at the University of Maryland Children’s Hospital. The Orioles will also partner with Major League Baseball and THE STARLIGHT CHILDREN’S FOUNDATION to donate a Nintendo Switch gaming console to the hospital. The Starlight Children’s Foundation works toward making hospitals an easy place for hospitalized children to live.

GUEST SPLASHER: Cal Ripken, Jr.

On the 29th anniversary of breaking Lou Gehrig’s consecutive game streak, Orioles Legend and National Baseball Hall of Famer CAL “IRON SPLASH” RIPKEN, JR. will serve as the guest splasher during the second and third innings of Friday night’s game.

CITY CONNECT FRIDAY

The Orioles will wear their City Connect jerseys at each Friday home game throughout the regular season, and this year, every City Connect Friday will be dedicated to Harlem Park Elementary Middle School. As part of the Orioles’ Adopt-A-School campaign, Harlem Park staff will attend batting practice, and Orioles players and coaches will wear Harlem Park themed batting practice shirts.

FIRST PITCH: Bryan Cooper

As part of City Connect Friday, COOPER, a native Baltimorean, will throw out the ceremonial first pitch prior to the game. Cooper began his career as a bus driver in the 1980s and spent the next four decades connecting the city of Baltimore until his retirement from the MTA earlier this year. Cooper is a member of the Baltimore Streetcar Museum, where he plans to continue operating cars along the Falls Road rails.

“PLAY BALL” ANNOUNCEMENT: Harlem Park Elementary Middle School Students

Students from HARLEM PARK ELEMENTARY MIDDLE SCHOOL will yell the ceremonial “play ball” prior to the game.

HBCU NIGHT

The Baltimore Orioles will celebrate Historically Black Colleges and Universities by coming together with alumni, students, and staff from various HBCUs to pay homage to these institutions. Fans can enjoy performances from Morgan State University’s marching band, The MAGNIFICENT MARCHING MACHINE, Bowie State’s marching band, SYMPHONY OF SOUL, and a DJ in Legends Park prior to first pitch. The Magnificent Marching Machine will perform in Maryland Square, outside of Gates A & C, and Symphony of Soul will perform on Camden Street, outside of Gate H. Several organizations and institutions, including COPPIN STATE UNIVERSITY and MORGAN STATE UNIVERSITY, will have informational tables set up in the bullpen picnic area from the time gates open until the fifth inning. $5 from every ticket bought using a special HBCU Night link will go toward initiatives to support HBCUs.

The MORGAN STATE / COPPIN STATE UNIVERSITY ARMY RESERVE OFFICERS’ TRAINING CORPS will present the colors from the field during the national anthem.

NATIONAL ANTHEM: Miss Gavri

GAVRI, a student at Bowie State University, will perform her rendition of the national anthem from behind home plate prior to the game. She will also perform “This Land Is Your Land” from on top of the Orioles dugout during the seventh inning.

ALUMNI AUTOGRAPHS: Mike Bordick, Al Bumbry, Jeff Rineer

O’s alumni BORDICK, BUMBRY, and RINEER will be on Eutaw Street, near the New Era cap store, from 5:30-6:30 p.m. to sign autographs for fans, free of cost.

HEROES CORNER, presented by The Good Feet Store: Student Support Network

The Orioles will donate tickets to STUDENT SUPPORT NETWORK as part of their Heroes Corner program, presented by The Good Feet Store. Student Support Network provides food, necessities, and advocacy to support the well-being of Baltimore County Public School students in need. Founded in 2021, the Heroes Corner program serves as a way for the Orioles to say thank you and show appreciation for frontline workers and volunteers in the community.

SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 7

EARLY BIRD SATURDAY, presented by Coors Light

Gates will open to fans two hours prior to the first pitch every Saturday home game this season. This Saturday, MY CHEMICAL BROMANCE, a local cover band, will perform for fans in Legends Park from 2-3:45 p.m. Fans can also enjoy special happy hour deals at Legends Park from 2-3 p.m., including select $5 16 oz. domestic beers as well as $2.50 soft pretzels and popcorn.

FIRST PITCH: Rob Long and Charlee Ballard

Orioles broadcaster ROB LONG and his mother, CHARLEE BALLARD, will throw out the ceremonial first pitch prior to the game. Ballard was diagnosed with ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease, earlier this year.

The first 20,000 fans ages 15 and over will receive an ORIOLES FOOTBALL JERSEY. In celebration of the start of the 2024 NFL season, fans will have the opportunity to meet the Baltimore Ravens mascot, Poe, and Ravens Cheerleaders in the Kids’ Corner from 2-2:30 p.m.

BALTIMORE COUNTY ANIMAL SERVICES CUDDLE SHUTTLE

Baltimore County Animal Services Cuddle Shuttle will be parked in Maryland Square, located outside of Gate C, for fans interested in adopting a new pet. All adoption fees will be waived for individuals who adopt on-site. All fans with or without a game ticket are invited to visit the Cuddle Shuttle and those with game tickets can adopt their new pet at the end of the game.

BIRDLAND COMMUNITY HERO, presented by BGE: Cameron

The Orioles will recognize 12-year-old CAMERON, the founder of SOUL MAN SWEETS, an in-home baking business. Cameron started his business at the age of 9 after teammates on his sports teams began to order his homemade cookies and birthday cakes. At 10 years old, he began a community project, Sweets for the Soul, through which he hosts fundraisers for local organizations and donates portions of monthly sales to families in need. In honor of Cameron’s recognition, the Orioles Charitable Foundation will make a $5,000 donation to BridgingLife - Dove House.

MILITARY SUITES, presented by RBR-Technologies: Jump 4 Valor

The Orioles will invite military members and their families from JUMP 4 VALOR to the ballpark as part of their Military Suites Program, presented by RBR-Technologies. Jump For Valor is a nonprofit organization focused on bettering the lives of veterans through participation in skydiving and aerial sports. Together, the Orioles and RBR-Technologies will provide the group with a complimentary catered suite, O's themed military hats and t-shirts, and an in-game welcome.

ORIOLE PARK PROMOS

50/50 RAFFLE AT ORIOLE PARK AT CAMDEN YARDS

The Orioles will host a 50/50 Raffle at each regular season home game to benefit a charity in the Baltimore community and the Ted Williams Foundation, giving fans the opportunity to make a direct impact across Birdland while trying to hit the jackpot at Camden Yards. Raffle tickets may be purchased from uniformed raffle-ticket sellers and via QR codes throughout the ballpark until the end of the 7th inning. The winning number will be announced in the bottom of the eighth inning. This homestand, the 50/50 Raffle will benefit the Fund for Educational Excellence from September 2-4 and the Orioles Charitable Foundation from September 6-8. The Fund for Educational Excellence provides Baltimore City Public Schools with resources and solutions to close opportunity gaps for all students. The Orioles Charitable Foundation supports local civic and charitable organizations with the goal of enriching the lives of fans throughout Birdland.
