Texas Rangers begin second half of 2023 with nine-game homestand, Friday, July 14 - Sunday, July 23

Rangers host three division leaders for three games each – the AL Central’s Cleveland Guardians, AL East’s Tampa Bay Rays, and NL West’s Los Angeles Dodgers

Arlington, Texas— The Texas Rangers begin the unofficial second half of the season with a 2.0 game lead in the American League West Division and a nine-game homestand at Globe Life Field. Texas returns from the All-Star break on Friday, July 14 when they host the Cleveland Guardians for a three-game series.

Following the series against Cleveland, the Rangers host the Tampa Bay Rays for three games, Monday, July 17 – Wednesday, July 19, and the Los Angeles Dodgers for a three-game series, Friday, July 21 – Sunday, July 23. Cleveland (AL Central), Tampa Bay (AL East) and Los Angeles (NL West) lead their respective divisions.

Tickets for all nine games at Globe Life Field can be purchased at rangers.com, by calling 972-RANGERS and at the Globe Life Field box office, which is located adjacent to the Southeast entrance.
All three games against Los Angeles have limited availability. Pregame tours are for sale July 14-15, July 17-18, and July 21-22 and can be purchased at www.globelifefield.com/tours.

Friday, July 14 is the series opener against the Cleveland Guardians and is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. CT. The first 15,000 fans receive the Rangers Retired Numbers Cap giveaway, presented by United Concordia. As gates open, the Pregame Happy Hour presented by Anheuser-Busch returns in the Karbach Brewing Sky Porch. Fans can enjoy $4 beers from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Former Rangers outfielder Kevin Mench will sign autographs in the New Era Alumni Alley from 5:15-6:15.

Aziz Francis Kotby, a celebrity chef of the local and family-owned Prince Lebanese Grill with throw the ceremonial first pitch. Since 1989 Prince been serving delicious Shawarma, Hummus & Kabobs and has gained national recognition being featured on Food Network, Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives, College Gameday, with the Dallas Cowboys, and the Texas Rangers as part of the Arlington Eats program at Globe Life Field.

Kotby was recently voted to 40 under 40 in Arlington by his peers, currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Greater Arlington Chamber of Commerce, Arlington Police Foundation, Arlington Charities, and the Arlington Conventions & Visitors Bureau. He also recently started the Francis Kobty Hospitality Scholarship providing full tuition for Local Culinary Students.   

The Rangers wear their City Connect uniforms Friday and Saturday against Cleveland.

Game two of the series against Cleveland starts at 3:05 p.m. CT and features the Martín Pérez Bobblehead giveaway, presented by Chick-fil-A to the first 15,000 fans. The Pregame Happy Hour presented by Anheuser-Busch is in the Karbach Brewing Sky Porch where fans can enjoy $4 beers from 1:30-3:00 p.m. Former Rangers right-hander Jeff Russell will sign autographs in the New Era Alumni Alley from 1:15-2:15.

The 1:35 p.m. CT series finale against Cleveland on Sunday, July 16 features a pair of Sunday favorites for kids 13 and under - $1 Blue Bell Ice Cream and postgame run the bases. Prior to first pitch, two Texas Rangers Youth Academy athletes will be presented with $5,000 Rangers Nike RBI scholarships sponsored by first baseman Nathaniel Lowe.

For all three games against Cleveland, Cartel Taco Bar will occupy the Arlington Eats stand near section 101.

The two best teams in the American League meet at Globe Life Field when the Rangers welcome the Tampa Bay Rays for thee games beginning Monday, July 17. The 7:05 p.m. CT series opener features another Mariachi Monday, presented by T-Mobile. The middle game against Tampa Bay is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. CT on Tuesday, July 18 and is a Coca-Cola Family Fun Tuesday. Wednesday, July 19 vs. Tampa is scheduled for a 1:35 p.m. CT matinee start and is another Texas Chili Company Dollar Hot Dog Day.

Following a team off day on Thursday, July 20, the final series of the homestand begins on Friday, July 21 when the Rangers host the Los Angeles Dodgers at 7:05 p.m. CT. The Rangers will sport their City Connect uniforms as the Pregame Happy Hour presented by Anheuser-Busch returns in the Karbach Brewing Sky Porch. Fans can enjoy $4 beers from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Former Rangers right-hander Bobby Witt will sign autographs in the New Era Alumni Alley from 5:15-6:15.

The 2023-2024 Texas Rangers Pet Calendar will go on sale when gates open Friday, July 21. The 18-month calendar features Texas Rangers players posing with their pets and pets rescued from The Pawerful Rescue in Royse City, Texas. Player families will sell the calendars adjacent to the Grand Slam Team Store on the main concourse through the conclusion of the fifth inning. Following the first day of sales, the calendar will be available for purchase at the Grand Slam Team Store, online at rangers.com/shop, as well as the July 29 MEGA Pet Adoption event at Globe Life Field.

Also on Friday against Los Angeles, the 2023 Rangers Poster Series returns with a poster featuring Dallas artist, Drigo. 200 posters will be available for $25 at the Rangers Authentics kiosk behind section 134. Proceeds benefit the Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation.

Saturday, July 22 is a 3:05 p.m. CT start and begins with the Topps Trading Card giveaway for the first 15,000 fans. The trading card pack fans receive can be brought to Playball Sports Cards, a local hobby shop, to trade for an even more exclusive International Trading Card Day Card from July 22-29, or while supplies last.

Pregame Happy Hour presented by Anheuser-Busch returns for the final time of the homestand from 1:30-3:00 in the Karbach Brewing Sky Porch and Mr. Ranger, Tom Grieve, will sign autographs in the New Era Alumni Alley from 1:15-2:15.

Immediately following the game, Viva Tejas, presented by Viva First, returns to the CBD Kratom Backyard at Texas Live! Fans can enjoy live music by Bobby Pulido, artwork, authentic food, and micheladas.

The homestand finale on Sunday, July 23 is a 1:35 p.m. CT start. Popular Sunday promotions for children return as kids 13 and under can enjoy $1 Blue Bell Ice Cream and postgame run the bases. 

Prince Lebanese Grill will occupy the Arlington Eats stand near section 101 for the entire series against Los Angeles.
