Arlington, Texas— The Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation and Globe Life presented 20 non-profit organizations across Texas, Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, and Oklahoma with $125,000 in grants during pre-game ceremonies at the Rangers-Angels game on Sunday, September 8.

In its 13th consecutive year, the Texas Rangers’ Globe Life Baseball & Softball Grant Program is designed to grow youth participation in the sports by funding grant proposals for an array of community initiatives focused on improving baseball and softball programming.

“The Globe Life Baseball and Softball Grant Program have made a significant impact across our five-state viewing territory for the last 13 years,” said Karin Morris, Senior VP of Community Impact and Executive Director of the Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation. “We are incredibly grateful for our partnership with Globe Life, which allowed us to fulfill 20 grant requests this year alone, bringing our all-time total contributions to over $125,000 in grants, furthering our mission to foster growth in baseball and softball.”

The 2024 grant recipients will use the funds to grow youth baseball and softball in their respective communities through construction projects, field renovations, league development, equipment and uniform needs, and more.

2024 grant recipients were recognized during pre-game ceremonies at Globe Life Field on Sunday, September 8.

Organizations were asked to complete a grant application proposal describing how funding could benefit their youth baseball or softball program. Grant recipients were selected based on need and the proposed program's ability to improve youth baseball and softball programming in their areas.

In 2023, Globe Life and the Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation awarded $125,000 to 21 nonprofit organizations in Texas, Arkansas, Louisiana, and Oklahoma after receiving a record number of applications. Since its inception in 2012, the Texas Rangers’ Globe Life Baseball & Softball Grant Program has donated over $1,125,000 to more than 150 organizations helping countless communities in need.

As part of its naming rights partnership with the Rangers, Globe Life has substantially committed to supporting youth baseball and softball growth by joining the Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation in the grant program. Bally Sports Southwest helps to promote the Globe Life Baseball & Softball Grant Program throughout the Rangers' five-state television territory.
