Arlington, Texas—The Texas Rangers today announced the details of several initiatives surrounding the induction of third baseman Adrian Beltré into the National Baseball Hall of Fame this summer.

Beltré, who was elected to the National Baseball Hall of Fame in his first year on the ballot on January 23, joins catcher Joe Mauer and first baseman Todd Helton as 2024 BBWAA Hall of Fame selections. They will join former manager Jim Leyland in the induction ceremonies for the Class of 2024 on Sunday, July 21 in Cooperstown, New York.

The Rangers are offering an exclusive fan trip to Cooperstown for the induction weekend, July 19-21 that includes all transportation, accommodations, and admission to the weekend events.

The club also announced that Adrian Beltré Weekend will take place on Friday and Saturday, August 16-17, when the Rangers host the Minnesota Twins at Globe Life Field.

FAN TRIP TO COOPERSTOWN, JULY 19-21

BELTRÉ WEEKEND IN ARLINGTON, AUGUST 16-17

Hall of Fame Luncheon: The Rangers will honor Adrian Beltré during a Hall of Fame Luncheon presented by Perry Homes on Friday, August 16 at 11:30 a.m. at Live! by Loews-Arlington. The program will feature appearances by Beltré, his teammates, and other special guests. Individual tickets are priced at $100 with tables of ten priced at $1000. Net proceeds benefit the Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation.

On-Field Ceremony: The newest Hall of Famer will be recognized in an on-field ceremony prior to the 6:05 p.m. game with the Minnesota Twins on Saturday, August 17 at Globe Life Field.

Hall of Fame Plaque Displayed: On Saturday, August 17, fans attending the Rangers-Twins game will opportunity to view and take photos with Adrian Beltré’s actual plaque that will be permanently displayed in the gallery at the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum in Cooperstown. Hall of Fame officials will accompany the plaque from Cooperstown to Arlington for this special free viewing.

More details on the Hall of Fame plaque viewing and the on-field ceremony will be announced at a later date.

Elected to the Hall of Fame with 95.1% of the vote, Beltré played for four teams during his 21-year MLB career from 1998-2018, the final eight of which came with the Rangers, whose logo will adorn Beltré’s plaque. Three of his four All-Star Game selections and three of his five Gold Glove Awards were earned with the Rangers as was his only World Series appearance in 2011. He will join pitcher Nolan Ryan (class of 1999) and catcher Iván Rodríguez (class of 2017) to have the Texas Rangers “T” on their Hall of Fame plaques in Cooperstown, New York.

Beltré and Mauer as the 59^th and 60th players to be elected by the members of the Baseball Writers Association of America in their first years on the ballot. Beltré is the seventh third baseman to be so honored, joining Brooks Robinson (1983), Mike Schmidt (1995), George Brett (1999), Paul Molitor (2004), Wade Boggs (2005), and Chipper Jones (2018).
