The Tampa Bay Rays have exercised their $10.5 million club option on infielder Brandon Lowe for the 2025 season. On March 20, 2019, Lowe and the Rays reached a six-year contract extension, which included club options for the 2025 and 2026 seasons.

“We are appreciative of all of Brandon’s achievements on and off the field during his time with the Rays,” said President of Baseball Operations Erik Neander. “Since debuting in 2018, his productivity at second base has been among the league’s best and we look forward to his continued success with us next season.”

Lowe, 30, hit .244/.311/.473 (94-for-385) with 19 doubles, three triples, 21 home runs and 58 RBI in 107 games last season, leading the club in home runs, runs (56), slugging percentage and OPS (.784).

He completed the 2024 campaign ranking among franchise leaders (min. 1,500 PA) in home runs (4th, 126), slugging percentage (4th, .482), OPS (6th, .812), hit by pitches (6th, 34), RBI (7th, 363), extra-base hits (8th, 245), runs (9th, 336) and total bases (9th, 1,036). His 441 starts at second base are second in team history behind Ben Zobrist (485).
