SAN DIEGO – The inaugural Rock the Park: Youth Showcase will be coming to Petco Park on Thursday, July 22 at 7:00 p.m. on the Sycuan Stage in Gallagher Square. Rock the Park will be the ultimate battle of high school bands featuring six acts performing three songs each in front of friends, family, and the San Diego community. The six bands, along with a solo spotlight and intermission act, are listed below and were selected after an open call for bands in the local area to submit videos of their best song.
Rock the Park performers:

• The White Collars
• Monkey Jam
• The Swell
• Tanner Maverick’s Book of Sound (intermission act)
• Envy
• The Casual Shon
• Saints + Wolves
Bands will be competing for the Special New Artist Award and an opportunity to perform prior to a future Padres regular season home game. Tickets for the event start at $10 and are now on sale at www.padres.com/rockthepark or by visiting the Petco Park box office on the day of the event. All proceeds from the event will go to support high school music programs across San Diego County.
