ATLANTA (October 2, 2022) – Tonight’s starting pitcher Charlie Morton and wife Cindy Morton have made a $75,000 donation to the Atlanta Braves Foundation in support of Team Rubicon’s hurricane relief efforts. The veteran-led volunteer disaster relief organization is on the ground helping those impacted by Hurricanes Fiona and Ian.

“We were deeply saddened to see the impact Hurricane Ian has had on our neighbors in southwest Florida, and on the heels of Fiona’s devastation in Puerto Rico. We want to thank all of the first responders and volunteers for dedicating their time and risking their safety to help the areas affected. We are so grateful for what organizations like Team Rubicon do and ask you to join us in supporting their efforts in providing aide to our community and other around the world impacted by natural disasters.” – Charlie and Cindy Morton

This donation amplifies the impact of the Atlanta Braves’ fundraising efforts for Team Rubicon’s hurricane relief and recovery efforts during the sold-out series against the New York Mets this weekend. Proceeds from the Atlanta Braves Foundation’s 50/50 raffle are supporting hurricane relief, and autographed items will be available for a silent auction through MLB’s Ballpark app. Fans can visit www.braves.com/give through Wednesday, October 5 to donate.
