Rays open two-team, six-game homestand

The Tampa Bay Rays return to Tropicana Field on Tuesday for a two-team, six-game homestand between the Baltimore Orioles (June 20-21) and Kansas City Royals (June 22-25). The 2023 Rays season is presented by Bayfront Health.

Tuesday, June 20 vs. Baltimore Orioles

  • First Pitch: 6:40 p.m.
  • Gates Open: 5:10 p.m.
  • National Anthem: Performed by Dennis Lee
  • Color Guard: Presented by Alonso High School JROTC
  • Ceremonial First Pitch: Thrown by Tampa Bay Rowdies player, Aaron Guillen.
  • Tuesday’s Champion: Before every Tuesday home game, the Rays recognize a child from the Make-A-Wish Foundation or the Children’s Dream Fund as a part of the “Tuesday’s Champion” program, presented RIPA & Associates. The Rays will host eight-year-old Vivian from the Children’s Dream Fund. As part of Vivian’s special day as a Tuesday’s Champion, she will meet Rays players and throw out a ceremonial first pitch. Vivian loves the color blue, anything with dinosaurs and Spiderman.

Wednesday, June 21 vs. Baltimore Orioles

  • Rays Science of Baseball: The Rays will host approximately 130 students and staff members from Academy Prep campuses in Lakeland, Tampa and St. Petersburg for a career day, as part of the Rays Science of Baseball STEM program. For the second consecutive year, throughout the month of June, Rays baseball operations staff are teaching STEM curriculum through instruction and interactive activities at Academy Prep campuses. Across a week at each campus, staff members teach students lessons from the Rays Science of Baseball program, which includes a baseball skills clinic and topics such as baseball statistics, mental performance and conditioning, physiology and nutrition. Academy Prep students participating in the program will attend a pregame career day with Rays staff members, followed by the game.

  • In-Game Presentation: The Rays Baseball Foundation will present Starting Right, Now with a partnership grant of $40,000. Starting Right, Now ends homelessness for youth by providing one-on-one mentoring, a stable home, assisting with employment opportunities, teaching life skills and promoting education achievement.

Thursday, June 22 vs. Kansas City Royals

  • Black Legacy Night: Black Legacy Game Poster available to the first 7,500 fans
  • Reading with the Rays: The Rays will visit the dePaul School for Dyslexia in Clearwater for the second Reading with the Rays event of the summer. A Rays player will read to approximately 25 of the school’s summer reading program students. Reading with the Rays presented by Suncoast Credit Union is an incentive-based reading program that encourages Pre-K to 12th grade students to avoid summer learning loss by reading for 24 hours during the summer months. Saturday, June 24 vs. Kansas City Royals

  • In-Game Presentation: The Rays Baseball Foundation will present Buddy Baseball with a partnership grant. Since 2016, the Rays have donated $40,000 to Buddy Baseball supporting children with unique abilities.

  • Hit The Buds: If a Rays player hits a home run in center field by the Budweiser Porch, there will be a BOGO Budweiser and Bud Light special at the next Rays home game.

  • Budweiser Good Sport Designated Driver Program: Pledge to be a designated driver by abstaining from alcohol and signing up via the MLB Ballpark app. Provide your contact information, follow the confirmation link in your inbox and show at Gate 1 or Gate 3 Guest Services. Each fan who signs up will receive a small cup good for soda or water at Coca-Cola Refresh Stations. One winner each game will also receive a Rays hat.
  • 50/50 Charity Raffle: This season, fans in the state of Florida can play the 50/50 Charity Raffle from home and in-person.   • $10 Tickets: $10 Tickets are available for every Rays regular season home game. Seats are located within the Rays Party Deck (sections 341-355) or select areas of the Lower Level (sections 127-132 starting with Row PP). $10 Tickets are non-transferable, and barcodes will not be available until 2 hours prior to first pitch with a maximum of 6 tickets per game, per household.
  • Ballpark Pass: For $49 a month, fans can gain standing-room only (SRO) access to every regular season home game. Pass holders can reserve up to 3 games at a time and new reservations will re-open as soon as a reserved game ends. Guest passes and seat upgrades will be available at an additional cost. Tickets are non-transferable and barcodes will not be available until 3 hours prior to first pitch.

  • In partnership with Coca-Cola Beverages Florida, Tropicana Field now has two Reverse Vending Machines in the ballpark that ensure a closed-loop recycling process. A Reverse Vending Machine can be found in both the first and third base food halls. For every empty bottle or can deposited into the machines, five cents will be donated to the Rays Baseball Foundation.
  • Rays Autographs: Prior to every Sunday home game throughout the 2023 season, two Rays players will provide autographs for fans 14 & under. Autographs will be available from 12-12:30 and fans who wish to participate can line up beginning at section 120/122.
