ST. PETERSBURG, Fla.—The Tampa Bay Rays have announced the Running with the Rays 5K and Family Fun Run that will take place on Sunday, April 16. This year’s 5K will offer both an in-person and virtual format allowing Rays fans the chance to run, jog or walk the race from anywhere.
The in-person event is on Sunday, April 16 at Tropicana Field. The course will begin at Tropicana Field in Lot 6 and continue through the streets of downtown St. Petersburg, routing through Al Lang Stadium before finishing back on the Tropicana Field turf.
Registration fees range from $50 to $75 and include a commemorative medal, timing chip, race bib and Rays and Rowdies ticket vouchers. The VIP registration fee ($75) also includes a race T-shirt and an upgraded seat location on the Rays ticket voucher. Race packets will be available for pickup at Tropicana Field on Saturday, April 15 from 10 a.m.–2 p.m. Day-of-race packet pickup will be available on Sunday, April 16 from 6-7:15 a.m. The race will start at 7:30 a.m.
A portion of all proceeds benefit the Rays Baseball Foundation and Rowdies Soccer Fund, a 501(c)(3) organization and the official charity of the Tampa Bay Rays and Rowdies. For more information on both the in-person and virtual races, visit RaysBaseball.com/5K.
