Arlington, Texas — The Texas Rangers today announced that the club has tendered 2025 contract offers to all 27 eligible players on its Major League roster. Additionally, the club has agreed to terms with right-handed pitchers Dane Dunning and Josh Sborz on one-year contracts covering the 2025 season, avoiding arbitration.

Dunning, 29, went 5-7 with a 5.31 ERA (56 ER/95.0 IP) over 26 games/15 starts for Texas during the 2024 season. The 2023 recipient of the Rangers’ Pitcher of the Year Award has gone 26-32 with a 4.38 ERA (262 ER/538.2 IP) over his four-year stint with Texas (beg. 2021), pacing Rangers hurlers in that span in innings, wins, starts (95), and strikeouts (482).

Sborz, who turns 31 on December 17, posted a 2-2 record and 3.86 ERA (7 ER/16.1 IP) over 17 relief appearances for Texas in 2024, with the Rangers going 13-4 in those outings. Over four seasons with Texas (beg. 2021), the right-hander has logged a 13-12 record, one save, and a 4.86 ERA (81 ER/150.0 IP).

With the additions of Dunning and Sborz, the Rangers have eight players already under contract for 2025: RHP Jacob deGrom, RHP Dane Dunning, OF Adolis García, RHP Jon Gray, RHP Tyler Mahle, RHP Josh Sborz, SS Corey Seager, 2B Marcus Semien.

The club has three remaining players eligible for salary arbitration in 2025: C Jonah Heim, 1B Nathaniel Lowe, CF Leody Taveras.

Following today’s transactions, the Rangers have 38 players on the club’s Major League roster.
