Rangers host Yankees and Diamondbacks during six-game, seven-day homestand at Globe Life Field
Four-game set against New York begins Thursday, April 27; Arizona visits for two games beginning Tuesday, May 2
Arlington, Texas— The American League West Division leading Texas Rangers return home to Globe Life Field for a six-game, seven-day homestand on Thursday, April 27 when they host the New York Yankees for the first and only time this season.
The series opener and Friday, April 28 are scheduled for 7:05 p.m. starts. Saturday, April 29 is a 6:05 p.m. first pitch and the two teams play a Sunday matinee series finale at 1:35 p.m.
Tickets are available for the first two games of the series but extremely limited for Saturday and Sunday. Standing room only tickets are available on Saturday and a limited number of reserved seats are available for Sunday. Tickets can be purchased at rangers.com, by calling 972-RANGERS and at the Globe Life Field box office, which is located adjacent to the Southeast entrance.
Following the four-game set against New York, the Rangers enjoy a team off day on Monday, May 1 before welcoming the Arizona Diamondbacks to Globe Life Field for a two-game series Tuesday, May 2 and Wednesday, May 3. The opener is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. and Wednesday’s homestand finale is slated for a 1:05 p.m. first pitch.
Thursday night’s homestand opener features Sugar Bee Sweets Bakery making its 2023 Arlington Eats debut at Globe Life Field. The boutique bakery will be set up near Section 101 for the entire series against New York.
On Friday night, Dave Valle, former Rangers catcher and current Bally Sports Southwest color analyst will sign autographs in the New Era Alumni Alley from 5:15-6:15 p.m.
The Texas Rangers are partnering with American Airlines to host Make-A-Wish Weekend at Globe Life Field on Saturday and Sunday. Four Wish Kids and their families will attend pre-game batting practice Saturday, and the Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation and American Airlines will present a $50,000 donation to Make-A-Wish North Texas during pre-game ceremonies as part of World Wish Day, celebrated nationally on April 29.
Additionally, as part of Saturday’s pre-game festivities, Darren Oliver, former Rangers pitcher and current Special Assistant to the GM, will sign autographs in the New Era Alumni Alley from 4:15-5:15 p.m. Following the game, fans can enjoy the first Viva Tejas, presented by Viva First, celebration of the season at the CBD Kratom Backyard inside Texas Live! Fans can enjoy a live DJ, artwork, food trucks and micheladas.
The Sunday 1:35 p.m. matinee against New York has two offerings for kids 13 and under - $1 Blue Bell Ice Cream and postgame run the bases.
Sunday is also Youth Baseball and Softball Community Day. Youth baseball and softball teams across the Metroplex are invited to spend the afternoon at Globe Life Field. Tuesday, May 2 against Arizona is Coca-Cola Family Fun Tuesday.
