Pirates announce additional details on 2022 promotional schedule and fan value ticket offers
Schedule includes Sesame Street Day, Local Artist Poster Series and the return of Kids Run the Bases
The Pittsburgh Pirates announced additions to the team’s 2022 promotional schedule in advance of Opening Day on Tuesday, April 12 at 4:12 p.m. In addition to the previously announced 36 promotional dates, Pirates fans will enjoy new themed dates and fan value ticket offers this season.
Several opportunities are available for fans to enjoy discounted tickets throughout the season, which are available now at pirates.com/fanvalues. These offers include:
• The return of PNC Bank Card and Giant Eagle Advantage Card games where cardholders of these partner locations can receive up to half off lower and upper level tickets
• Family Value offer, which includes loaded value for the purchase of concessions
• Sugardale Dollar Dog Nights featuring $1 hot dogs during Thursday evening games
• Military Discounts presented by 84 Lumber
• Senior and Student Discounts
• Miller Lite Great Taste Ticket where the first drink is on the Pirates
Kids Days are back for the 2022 season and feature the return of a number of pre-pandemic activations including popular pre-game activities like the Pirates inflatables, face painters and more. Also, back for the first time since 2019, is Kids Run the Bases, where kids 14 and under can lap the bases following the game.
As part of Kids Days, the Pirates will hold its first-ever Sesame Street Day on Sunday, July 3. This date will include visits from Cookie Monster, Elmo and Grover and features an Elmo Plush Toy giveaway to all kids in attendance 14 and under.

The 2022 season marks the 75th Anniversary of Jackie Robinson breaking baseball’s color barrier. All MLB teams will wear jerseys with the number 42 in Dodger blue on Friday, April 15, to commemorate the impact Jackie Robinson had on the game of baseball.
