The Phillies have received cash considerations from the San Francisco Giants in exchange for outfielder Dalton Guthrie.

Phillies President of Baseball Operations David Dombrowski made the announcement.

Guthrie, 27, made the Phillies Opening Day roster and hit .167 with four runs, one double and three walks in two stints with the club. He set single-season career highs in games (23) and runs scored before being designated for assignment on June 19.

Guthrie was originally selected by the Phillies in the sixth round of the 2017 MLB Draft.
