The Orioles today announced the club’s 2023 Opening Day roster.

The Orioles’ 26-man roster includes:

Four players will begin the season on the Injured List: C JAMES McCANN (left oblique strain, retroactive to 3/27) on the 10-day, RHP MYCHAL GIVENS (left knee inflammation, retroactive to 3/27) and RHP DILLON TATE (right elbow flexor strain, retroactive to 3/27) on the 15-day, and LHP JOHN MEANS (left elbow UCL surgery) on the 60-day.

Six players have made their first career Opening Day roster: RHP KYLE BRADISH, RHP LOGAN GILLASPIE, INF GUNNAR HENDERSON, C ADLEY RUTSCHMAN, OF KYLE STOWERS, and INF TERRIN VAVRA. Fifteen of the 26 players were on Baltimore’s Opening Day roster in 2022, while four players will be making their O’s debut: LHP DANNY COULOMBE, INF ADAM FRAZIER, RHP KYLE GIBSON, and LHP COLE IRVIN.

The Orioles open the season with a three-game series against the Boston Red Sox beginning today at 2:10 p.m. ET at Fenway Park. Gibson is scheduled to make his second career Opening Day start. MASN2 will begin its coverage with O’s Xtra at 1:30 p.m. Hearst's 98 Rock (97.9 FM) and WBAL NewsRadio 1090/FM 101.5 will host a 90-minute program from 12:00-1:30 p.m., immediately followed by the official pregame show on the Orioles Radio Network.
