February 2nd, 2024

The New York Yankees and the Diablos Rojos del México today announced they will hold a historic two-game exhibition series at Alfredo Harp Helú Stadium in Mexico City. The games are scheduled for Sunday, March 24 and Monday, March 25.

The Yankees’ exhibition games in Mexico City will close out the club’s spring schedule. The club will also play two Grapefruit League games on those days. The Yankees begin the 2024 regular season on Thursday, March 28 at Houston. The Diablos Rojos will kick off their LMB campaign on April 11.

The two teams hold the most titles in their respective leagues, the Yankees leading Major League Baseball with 27 World Series championships and the Diablos Rojos with 16 crowns in the Mexican Baseball League.

The Diablos Rojos will make the dream of the escarlata’s fans come true by hosting the legendary 'Bronx Bombers' at their ballpark. It will mark the Yankees’ first trip to Mexico City since March 1968 when the Yankees also played exhibitions games against the Diablos Rojos. During that series, the 'Bronx Bombers' and the 'Pandilla Escarlata' faced off at Parque del Seguro Social. The clubs split the two-game set as the Diablos defeated the Yankees, 5-3, on March 18, 1968, before the Yankees won the second game, 9-1, on March 20, 1968.

Ticket sale information will be provided at a later date through the Diablos Rojos.
