MINNEAPOLIS-ST. PAUL, MN – The Minnesota Twins are proud to announce that the organization has been honored by GOAL (Green Operations & Advanced Leadership) with 29 “GOAL Medals” recognizing the organization’s exceptional leadership, work and dedication to advancing environmental, social and governance (ESG) objectives. GOAL, a pioneering sustainability-driven membership and support network for sports, entertainment and live event venues, awarded the medals last night in Phoenix, Arizona, during GOAL’s First Annual Venue & Event All Stars Award Ceremony.

The Twins became a GOAL member in 2023, representing a critical next step in the organization’s continued work to build upon and enhance its longstanding sustainability and community impact missions. Club leadership has since utilized the GOAL platform to proactively chart a tangible path across more key ESG objectives; after the first year, the Twins were awarded gold, silver or bronze GOAL medal status in the following 29 categories (for more information on the Twins’ sustainability efforts, please visit twins.com/sustainability):

“We are proud to accept these honors, but are far more excited about what they represent – a recognition that, in this critical time, our organization continues pushing toward new paths of environmental stewardship and fostering belonging,” said Twins President & CEO Dave St. Peter. “Now is the time to challenge ourselves to ensure Target Field remains the ‘Greenest Ballpark in America’ and that we are playing an active role in shaping equitable, empathetic and connected communities. We look forward to continued engagement with GOAL as we work to build a better tomorrow for all.”
