MIAMI – The Miami Marlins today proudly invited the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp, Pensacola Blue Wahoos, Beloit Snappers and Jupiter Hammerheads to join the organization’s player development system.

Jacksonville has been invited to serve as the Triple-A affiliate for the Marlins, following 12 seasons as the club’s Double-A team.

Pensacola, the 2020 Baseball America Bob Freitas Award winner for Double-A Organization of the Year, has been invited to join Miami’s Player Development system as the club’s Double-A affiliate.

Beloit has been invited to partner with the Marlins as the club’s Advanced-A affiliate after playing in Single-A since 1982.

Jupiter has been invited to serve as the club’s Single-A affiliate. The Hammerheads have been with the Marlins since 2002, playing their home games out of Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium, Miami’s Spring Training home.

Miami’s player development system is a consensus selection as one of the tops in baseball, currently ranked fifth by MLB Pipeline, which also named it the most improved system in 2019. The Marlins have six prospects on the publication’s Top 100 list, tied for most by any team. Additionally, the Marlins have seven prospects in the Baseball America Top 100, tied for most by any organization.
