Miami Marlins Announce 2024 Opening Day Roster

MIAMI – The Miami Marlins today announced various transactions to set the team’s 26-man Opening Day roster ahead of today’s 12:00 p.m. ET deadline:
- RHP Max Meyer and INF Jonah Bride recalled from Triple-A Jacksonville.
- RHP Burch Smith contract selected from Triple-A Jacksonville.
- RHP Edward Cabrera placed on the 15-day Injured List, retroactive to March 25 (right shoulder impingement).
- RHP JT Chargois placed on the 15-day Injured List, retroactive to March 25 (neck spasms).
- LHP Braxton Garrett placed on the 15-day Injured List, retroactive to March 25 (left shoulder impingement).
- RHP Eury Pérez placed on the 15-day Injured List, retroactive to March 25 (right elbow inflammation).
- LHP Josh Simpson placed on the 15-day Injured List, retroactive to March 25 (left elbow ulnar neuritis).
- INF Xavier Edwards placed on the 10-day Injured List, retroactive to March 25 (left foot infection).
After today’s transactions, the Marlins currently have 39 players on the team’s 40-man Major League roster, along with one player (RHP Sandy Alcantara) on the 60-day Injured List and one player (RHP Huascar Brazoban) on the Restricted List.
