Mets announce Opening Day roster

FLUSHING, N.Y., April 1, 2021 – The New York Mets announced the following roster moves today:
- Placed RHP Carlos Carrasco on the 10-Day Injured List, retroactive to March 29, with a grade 1 right hamstring strain.
- Placed RHP Seth Lugo on the 10-Day Injured List, retroactive to March 29, while he recovers from right elbow surgery.
- Placed INF José Martínez on the 60-Day Injured List with a torn meniscus in his left knee.
- Placed RHP Drew Smith on the 10-Day Injured List, retroactive to March 29, with right shoulder soreness.
RHP Noah Syndergaard was previously placed on the 60-Day Injured List on February 20.
