Mason Miller named AL Reliever of the Month
OAKLAND, Calif. — Oakland A’s right-handed pitcher Mason Miller has been named the American League Reliever of the Month for March/April. This is his first Reliever of the Month award and he is the first A’s player to win a monthly award since Zack Gelof won Rookie of the Month last August. Miller is the Club’s first reliever of the month since Lou Trivino won the award in June 2021.
For the year, Miller has eight saves, a 1.26 ERA, 29 strikeouts and just four walks in 14.1 innings pitched spanning 12 appearances. Among Major League relievers, he ranks first in strikeouts and tied for seventh in saves. Miller has thrown 97 pitches of 100 mph or greater and 19 pitches of 102 mph or greater, both of which lead the Majors. He has thrown nine of the 10 fastest pitches thrown this season, topping out at 103.7 mph.
