SACRAMENTO, Calif. (November 26, 2024) – Lace up those skates and hit the ice for Free Skate Days presented by the Athletics! This winter, the Downtown Sacramento Ice Rink is teaming up with the A’s to provide three special afternoons of free skating as the community gears up for the MLB games starting in March just a few blocks away.

Make plans for these free skate dates -- November 30, December 28, and January 18. From noon to 2:00 p.m., the first 300 people will skate for free—so gather friends, family and A’s gear, and hit the ice! Don’t miss this chance to skate, celebrate, and kick off a new chapter in Sacramento sports history.

A’s President Dave Kaval said, “We’ve always known Sacramento is a great sports town with passionate fans, but the welcoming nature of the community has been next level. We’re excited to offer this free skating experience and look forward to supporting many more events that bring people together across the Greater Sacramento area.”

The Downtown Sacramento Ice Rink is the place to make your holiday celebrations complete located at 7th and K streets in between the holiday tree in Old Sacramento Waterfront and the shows at the SAFE Credit Union Performing Arts Center.
