LOS ANGELES – The Dodgers recalled right-handed pitcher Michael Petersen and optioned left-handed pitcher Justin Wrobleski.

Wrobleski, 24, pitched yesterday against the Diamondbacks, taking the loss after allowing 10 earned runs over 5.1 innings with two strikeouts. In six starts for the Dodger this season, the southpaw owns a 1-2 record with 20 strikeouts in 30.1 innings and earned his first Major League win on August 16 against St. Louis. With Triple-A Oklahoma City this season, he has posted an 0-2 record with a 5.26 ERA (15 ER/25.2 IP) in five starts with 15 strikeouts. He began the season with Double-A Tulsa, starting 13 games and producing a 5-2 record with a 3.06 ERA (23 ER/67.2 IP) and 62 strikeouts against just 13 walks. The Hoffman Estates, Illinois native was originally drafted in the 11^th round of the 2021 First-Year Player Draft by the Dodgers out of Oklahoma State University.

Petersen, 30, returns to the Dodgers for his third stint with the club after solidifying a 3-0 record in nine games with a 4.50 ERA (6 ER/12.0 IP) and eight strikeouts. The righty notched his first big league win in his Major League debut on June 18 at Colorado, after pitching 2.0 innings of one-run ball with two strikeouts. With Triple-A Oklahoma City, he was 2-0 in 35 games with a 1.64 ERA (6 ER/33.0 IP) and 44 strikeouts against eight walks. He was originally drafted by the Milwaukee Brewers in the 17^th round of the 2015 June Amateur Draft out of Riverside
