Dodgers recall Landon Knack and Justin Wrobleski

LOS ANGELES – The Los Angeles Dodgers recalled right-handed pitcher Landon Knack and left-handed pitcher Justin Wrobleski, optioned right-handed pitcher Michael Petersen and placed right-handed pitcher Gavin Stone on the injured list with right shoulder inflammation.

Knack, 27, will be recalled for his fourth stint with the club and make the start this evening. On the season, he is 2-2 with a 3.00 ERA with 44 strikeouts in 48.0 innings in 10 games (eight starts). He made 14 appearances with Triple-A Oklahoma City, going 4-3 with a 3.71 ERA. He has made 69 minor league appearances (63 starts) since 2021, going 18-15 with a 3.47 ERA and 340 strikeouts. He was drafted by the Dodgers in the second round of the 2020 First Year Player Draft out of East Tennessee State University.

Wrobleski, 24, returns to the Dodgers for his fourth stint with the club after allowing 10 runs in 5.1 innings against the Diamondbacks on Sunday. The southpaw is 1-2 with the Dodgers across six starts, striking out 20 in 30.1 innings and producing a 1.38 WHIP. With Triple-A Oklahoma City this season, he has posted a 0-2 record with a 5.26 ERA (15 ER/25.2 IP) in five starts with 15 strikeouts. He began the season with Double-A Tulsa, starting 13 games and producing a 5-2 record with a 3.06 ERA (23 ER/67.2 IP) and 62 strikeouts against just 13 walks. The Hoffman Estates, Illinois native was originally drafted in the 11th round of the 2021 First-Year Player Draft by the Dodgers out of Oklahoma State University.

Petersen, 30, allowed three runs in one inning of work on Wednesday against the Angels. He allowed four runs in 2.0 innings in two appearances in his third stint with the Dodgers. On the 2024 campaign, he is 3-0 with a 6.43 ERA and 11 strikeouts in 14.0 innings in 11 games for the Dodgers. With Triple-A Oklahoma City, he is 2-0 in 35 games with a 1.64 ERA (6 ER/33.0 IP) and 44 strikeouts against eight walks. He was originally drafted by the Milwaukee Brewers in the 17th round of the 2015 June Amateur Draft out of Riverside City College.

Stone, 25, was 11-5 with a 3.53 ERA in 25 games this season. He set career-highs in innings pitched (140.1), starts, strikeouts (118) and wins. He has been with the Dodgers two seasons, and he is a combined 12-6 with a 4.52 ERA in 33 games (29 starts). The Arkansas native was a combined 18-12 with a 3.19 ERA and 426 strikeouts in 70 minor league games. He was drafted in the fifth round of the 2020 First Year Player Draft out of the University of Central Arkansas.
