Dodgers recall Hunter Feduccia
LOS ANGELES – The Los Angeles Dodgers recalled catcher Hunter Feduccia and placed Austin Barnes on the injured list with a fractured left big toe.
Feduccia, 27, returns for his third stint with the team and has one hit in three at bats in two games played. He was batting .284 with six homers and 50 RBI with Triple-A Oklahoma City. He has been with the organization six seasons, batting .267 with 46 homers and 256 RBI in 447 minor league games. The backstop was drafted in the 12th round of the 2018 First Year Player Draft out of Louisiana State University.
Barnes, 34, left the game in the fifth inning last night. He has played in 52 games for the Dodgers this season, hitting .261 with one homer and 11 RBI. He has been with the team 10 seasons, hitting 35 homers and driving in 160 in 597 career games. He was originally drafted by the Miami Marlins in the ninth round of the 2011 First Year Player Draft out of Arizona State University.
