CHICAGO – The Chicago Cubs will begin the 2023 regular season at Wrigley Field Thursday, March 30, at 1:20 p.m. CDT against the Milwaukee Brewers. The club’s opening homestand will feature a three-game series against Milwaukee (March 30, April 1-2) followed by a three-game road trip to Cincinnati (April 3-5). Single game tickets are still available for fans to purchase for Opening Day and for various games throughout the regular season.

Pregame festivities for Opening Day at Wrigley Field will include an on-field flag presentation by Cubs Season Ticket Holders as well as a flyover by the U.S. Air Force 28th Bomb Wing located at Ellsworth Air Force Base in South Dakota. Officer Kenyatta Gaines, a Chicago Police Department Honor Guard Member, will sing “God Bless America” and John Vincent will sing the national anthem. In addition, Cubs radio play-by-play announcer Pat Hughes will throw out the ceremonial first pitch and sing the seventh-inning stretch.

Atop the upcoming DraftKings Sportsbook at Wrigley Field, the Cubs will unveil a new outdoor terrace and concession offerings created in partnership with NÜTRL Vodka Seltzer, the “Official Ready to Drink Vodka Partner” of the Cubs. Named the “NÜTRL Zone,” this space will provide new food and beverage amenities for fans to enjoy and is located at the back of the terrace level.

Additionally, fans also will be able to enjoy Chicago’s favorite retro-style burger joint, Small Cheval, in the Budweiser Bleachers.

When coming to a game this season, fans should keep in mind the following information before heading to the ballpark:

• For most games, gates will open 90 minutes prior to first pitch. Gates will open two hours before first pitch for Opening Day, Saturday games and special occasions. Each mobile ticket includes an assigned entry gate.
• Bag restrictions are still in place with only bags smaller than 16 x 16 x 8 inches in size being permitted inside the ballpark. Backpacks are not permitted. Exceptions will be made for medical bags and diaper bags that accompany guests with young children.
• All purchases at Wrigley Field remain cashless.
• Cubs tickets are available exclusively as mobile tickets via the MLB Ballpark app.

New at Wrigley Field:

As part of a multiyear partnership with C.D. Peacock, the “Official Jewelry and Watch Partner” of the Cubs and Wrigley Field, fans will notice a new addition to the ballpark this season—a new trophy room located inside the Marquee Gate entrance, adjacent to the C.D. Peacock Premier Entrance lobby. The new trophy room will house the 2016 World Series Championship trophy and will be open to fans on gamedays only.

The Cubs are introducing a new commemorative ticket option for fans through the MLB Ballpark app this season. Whether it’s for big games or life’s noteworthy moments, fans will have the ability to commemorate their experience at Wrigley Field with this special memento. Commemorative tickets will be mailed as ordered and will not provide entry into the ballpark. Starting this season, fans will be able to enjoy night games, concerts and other special events under the new energy-efficient LED light fixtures which were installed last fall, replacing the original Wrigley Field light fixtures, first installed back in 1988.

Food and Beverage Updates:

In partnership with hospitality partner Levy, the 2023 food and beverage menu for Wrigley Field includes globally inspired flavors and adds new, collectible offerings for fans to enjoy. Highlights available across Wrigley Field concessions include:  

• Crispy Chicken Bao Bun: Crispy chicken thigh, Thai chili sauce, baby arugula, cucumber and carrot on a bao bun.
• Greek Loaded Fries: Gyro meat, feta cheese, Kalamata olives, tomatoes, red onions, pepperoncini and feta cream sauce on a bed of crispy steak fries in a souvenir helmet.
• Burger Brat: Split bratwurst filled with brat-seasoned ground beef, cheddar cheese, yellow mustard and sauerkraut on a brioche bun.
• Crispy Chicken Torta: Homestyle crispy chicken, mayo ancho cabbage, cotija cheese on a torta roll.
• Quesabirria: Barbacoa, Spanish onions, Chihuahua cheese on a crispy flour tortilla with ancho chili sauce.
• Souvenir Beer Bat: 26 oz. souvenir cup can be filled with beer selection available at pertaining concession stand bars. 

To celebrate the club’s new partnership with Reyes Coca-Cola Bottling, the Marquee Classics concession stand, which is located directly behind home plate, will be renamed the “Billy Goat Tavern” for the first homestand and will serve classic fare from the Chicago institution. On Opening Day, cast members from The Second City will recreate the famous late-night comedy sketch.

Lastly, fans also will savor beloved favorites including Vienna Beef, Home Run Inn Pizza, Garrett Popcorn Shops, Hot Doug’s and Lillie’s Q.
