Cardinals announce Budgeting Buddies program presented by Scott Credit Union
ST. LOUIS, September 12, 2019 – The St. Louis Cardinals today announced the launch of the Budgeting Buddies Program presented by Scott Credit Union. The Cardinals and Scott Credit Union teamed up to create the free financial literacy program that introduces students to the importance of making smart financial decisions.
The team will host a free Budgeting Buddies Teacher Workshop on Monday, September 16 at Busch Stadium prior to the start of the Cardinals 6:45 p.m. game against the Washington Nationals. Educators who register and attend the workshop will receive two tickets to attend the game that night. Space is limited and is available on a first-come-first-served basis. The Budgeting Buddies program includes a seven-part curriculum with relatable examples for students in second through sixth grades. Lesson topics include: Needs versus Wants, Forms of Money, Earning Money, Saving Money and Creating a Budget.
