Brewers and J. Leinenkugel's Barrel Yard roll out "Fresh, Flavor, Forward" Beer in celebration of 414 Day
Brewed in Collaboration with VISIT Milwaukee, Fans Can Get Their First Sip and Purchase Crowlers on Sunday, April 14
MILWAUKEE – The Milwaukee Brewers announced J. Leinenkugel’s Barrel Yard will roll out an exclusive beer on Sunday, April 14, in celebration of Milwaukee’s 414 Day. “Fresh, Flavor, Forward” is a Berliner Weisse, a historical German Wheat Ale originating from Berlin, Germany, and pays homage to Milwaukee and Leinenkugel’s German heritage.
Brewed onsite at American Family Field by Pilot Brewer Corrine Georges, “Fresh, Flavor, Forward” is a collaborative effort in celebration of 414 Day with VISIT Milwaukee. The beer is a pale, refreshing, German wheat beer with low alcohol and clean tartness, with light sour and lightly breaded aromas.
Fans are encouraged to visit the Barrel Yard on Sunday, April 14 to be the first to take a sip of the new brew. The restaurant hours are 11 a.m. – 9 p.m. It will be available on tap, and new this year, in 32 oz. crowlers that are available for purchase on non-game days.
The beer will be available throughout the April 15-17 homestand as the Crew takes on the San Diego Padres, and on tap until it is sold out. As is the case with all the unique beers brewed onsite, inventory is limited. Fans can enjoy these brews, in addition to the full menu of Leinenkugel beer offerings, and a full menu from the scratch kitchen.
Georges, with support from the Leinenkugel’s team, drives the creation and inspiration of the unique beers that rotate through J. Leinenkugel’s Barrel Yard at American Family Field on an ongoing basis.
