Brewers acquire right-handed pitcher Taylor Clarke from Royals
Send Right-Handed Pitcher Ryan Brady and Infielder Cam Devanney to Kansas City
MILWAUKEE - The Milwaukee Brewers have acquired right-handed pitcher Taylor Clarke from the Kansas City Royals in exchange for right-handed pitcher Ryan Brady and infielder Cam Devanney. The announcement was made by Senior Vice President and General Manager Matt Arnold.
With the addition of Clarke, the 40-man roster now stands at 39 and is updated here.
Clarke, 30, has appeared in 183 games (22 starts) in the Major Leagues with Arizona (2019-21) and Kansas City (2022-23). His 58 appearances (2 starts) with the Royals in 2023 marked a career high and ranked second on the team. He produced 65 strikeouts in 59.0 innings pitched last season. Clarke was selected by the Diamondbacks in the third round of the 2015 First-Year Player Draft out of College of Charleston.
Brady, 24, signed with Milwaukee as a non-drafted free agent on July 27, 2022. He made 37 relief appearances with Class-A Wisconsin (19g) and Double-A Biloxi (18g) last season.
Devanney, 26, was selected by Milwaukee in the 15th round of the 2019 First-Year Player Draft. He spent 2023 at Triple-A Nashville, where he batted .271 with 11 HR and 47 RBI in 103 games.
