Blue Jays sign Vogelbach

The Toronto Blue Jays have agreed to terms with DH Daniel Vogelbach on a Minor League contract with an invite to 2024 Major League Spring Training.

Vogelbach, 31, appeared in 104 games for the Mets in 2023, hitting .233 with 21 extra-base hits and 48 RBI. The 6-0, 270 lb. left-handed hitter was selected by the Cubs in the 2nd round of the 2011 First-Year Player Draft, eventually making his MLB debut for the Mariners in 2016. The Orlando, FL, native has suited up for five big-league clubs over his eight-year career, including a two-game stint with the Blue Jays in 2020. Over the course of 571 career MLB games, Vogelbach has posted a .752 OPS to go along with 58 doubles, a triple, 80 home runs, and 238 RBI, while earning an American League All-Star nod in 2019.
