Blue Jays return to Toronto on Tuesday for 6-game homestand

The first homestand of August features promotions for 5 of 6 games, including the return of Harry Potter™ Night on Friday, Aug. 9

The Blue Jays are back at Rogers Centre for a six-game homestand starting Tuesday, Aug. 6. Split evenly between the Baltimore Orioles and Oakland Athletics, with five of the six games featuring a giveaway or theme event.

It’s the perfect time for a summer outing. Here’s what fans can look forward to at the ballpark next week:

  • Leading off the homestand is the always popular Loonie Dogs Night presented by Schneiders on Tuesday, Aug. 6 (7:07 p.m.). Last homestand, fans broke the season’s single-game record with 69,045 dogs consumed. Fans are challenged this homestand to reach the 70,000 threshold for the first time this season.
  • George Springer is known for his love of hockey, growing up as a Hartford Whalers fan. On Wednesday, Aug. 7 (7:07 p.m.), the first 15,000 fans receive the collectable George Springer Replica Hockey Jersey presented by TD (image here).
  • Enter NIGHT MODE on Thursday, Aug. 8 (7:07 p.m.), as the Blue Jays don their Toronto City Connect uniforms.
  • Calling all witches, wizards, and Muggles – grab a broom and soar into Rogers Centre for Harry PotterNight on Friday, Aug. 9 (7:07 p.m.). Stepping into the world of Harry Potter™, fans can enjoy photo opportunities such as Platform 9 ¾, Hogwarts Castle’s Great Hall, and Hagrid’s Hut; themed décor; and activities such as the Sorting Hat, and Potions, Herbology, and Care of Magical Creatures classes! Fans can also play Quidditch at section 536. The first 15,000 fans receive one of four Blue Jays Harry Potter™ House Raglan Shirt giveaways (image here; shirts assigned at random).
  • The homestand wraps on Sunday, Aug. 11 (1:37 p.m.) with Jays Sunday. Outdoor programming begins at 10:30 a.m. and runs through first pitch, featuring inflatables, activities, and performances outside gates 5 to 11 along Bremner Blvd. The fun continues indoors at 11:30 a.m. In addition, kids 14 and under can run the bases postgame, and full Jr. Jays event details can be found at bluejays.com/jrjays.
