Blue Jays release updated 2022 schedule with Opening Night at Rogers Centre on Friday, April 8

Opening Weekend runs from April 8 to 10 featuring a Panel Hat giveaway on Opening Night and a George Springer Bobblehead giveaway on the Saturday

For the first time in more than two years, the Blue Jays will have a complete 81-game home season in Toronto. The club today announces its new Opening Night and Weekend, presented by TD, at Rogers Centre from Friday April 8 to Sunday, April 10, versus the Texas Rangers. Fans won’t want to miss out on being the first to see this exciting team back in action with tickets available now at bluejays.com/tickets.

Rogers Centre returns to full capacity with festivities including a Blue Jays Panel Hat giveaway for the first 45,000 fans and special opening ceremonies on April 8, followed by George Springer’s first Blue Jays bobblehead giveaway for the first 15,000 fans on April 9, both presented by TD. Games originally scheduled from March 31 to April 7 have been rescheduled:

  • The three-game Blue Jays home series versus the Tampa Bay Rays will be made up as split doubleheaders on July 2 (12:07 and 6:07 p.m.) and September 13 (1:07 and 7:07 p.m.), and one game on September 15 (3:07 p.m.).
  • The three-game away series at Baltimore, originally scheduled to start the season, has been added to the end of the season on October 3 to 5.

In addition, all Sunday home game times have been shifted to 1:37 p.m. first pitch.
