Atlanta Braves and Candy Digital release 2021 Braves World Series Champions Collection NFTs
The exclusive NFT collection will be available for purchase 12:00 PM ET Monday, April 25 through 7:00 PM ET Thursday, April 28
ATLANTA (April 22, 2022) – The Atlanta Braves and Candy Digital, the next generation digital collectible company that minted and gifted World Series rings customized for each player on the 2021 Atlanta Braves active roster, today announced the 2021 Braves World Series Champions Collection NFTs. The exclusive new collection will commemorate the Braves’ historic season and will be available at mlb.candy.com beginning at 12:00 PM ET on Monday, April 25 through 7:00 PM ET on Thursday, April 28.
The 2021 Braves World Series Champions Collection will consist of three NFTs:
- 2021 Braves World Series Ring: This 3D NFT is a 1-of-1 product that will be available exclusively via auction and will feature utility in the form of real-world experiences. The owner of this NFT will receive:
- Two (2) complimentary tickets and a parking pass to a Braves game at Truist Park, complete with access to the Delta Club.
- Access to be on the field to watch pregame batting practice.
- The opportunity to get the game started by being the individual(s) to say “Play ball” over the public address speakers.
The starting bid for the 3D World Series Ring will be $50. The auction will end at 7:00 pm EST on Thursday and will extend for 5 minutes for each highest bid. 100% of the net proceeds from the sale of this product will be donated to the Atlanta Braves Foundation.
- 2021 Braves Postseason Highlights: Three top moments from the 2021 postseason will be showcased in these cinemagraphs, of which only 100 will be made available, each costing $150. The three moments highlighted will be:
- The Final Out of the World Series
- Tyler Matzek Owning the Mound
- World Series MVP Jorge Soler
- 2021 Braves World Series Pennant: Features a 3D Braves pennant, complete with special effects, and will be available in an open-edition format (as many people who would like to purchase it, can) for $20.21.
This collection marks the second consecutive year that Candy is honoring the reigning World Series champs, following the first-ever World Series NFTs introduced in 2020 to celebrate the Dodgers’ win.
